Foremost, I would like to thank you all very warmly for 2k followers. It’s been a wild ride! Expect a more in depth and heartfelt post about that in the coming days. For now I’d like to introduce to you an event to celebrate this milestone: the mogai mischief event!

Participants will secretly pick another member of the mogai community and from Monday 29th of June to Friday the 4th of July, coin based on five prompts about their chosen person. At the end of the event, the secret person will be revealed!

If you’ve ever participated in or seen the blorbosquared event, it’s the exact same principle but with other people in the community rather than characters.

RULES & INFO

- Since my blog is focussed on mogai coining, the event will centre around coining based on the prompts, this does not have to include a flag however

- You can really choose anyone for the prompts (a friend, mutual, stranger, coiner, archivist etc) but as this is mogai community focussed it will be easiest to create for someone in the community who makes or uses mogai terms. There will be alternate prompts sometimes in case certain prompts are harder to fulfil but also feel free to take lots of creative liberty

- Please keep your person a secret until the final day! That’s part of the fun :-)

- Feel free to plan out and draft terms beforehand or post late/after the event, but please don’t post your event coins until their respective day

- Tag your posts with #mogaimischief !

flags for vietnamese folk who self-identify as, use the pronouns, and/or feel that being an anh/chị in any way is important to their identity.

while these flags are intended for queer folk, they aren't exclusive; just to vietnamese folk as a whole. anh and chị are pronouns, but also titles—as vietnamese does not have 'true' pronouns. they hold cultural significance in a way that he/him or she/her do not.

anh and chị are also used for "older brother" and "older sister" respectively. outside of that, they're used for older men and women (usually by 2-3 years.) the duty of an anh or a chị in the family is to take care of their younger family members; they have a responsibility as an anh or chị. some nonbinary vietnamese folk continue to use anh and chị for themselves, rather than the nonbinary counterparts, because of this cultural and familial significance.

the wave on the anh flag represents the dragon king—lạc long quân—and the mountain on the chị flag represents the tiên—âu cơ—that the vietnamese are descended from.

disclaimer that these were not coined by mu. these terms were pre-existing words in the vietnamese language. mu is simply making a flag for it.

Viopulse. A neo-umbrella that embodies violence and impulsive urges. The following themes go under this term:

— Impulsivity, apathy, sadism, anger, pain, violent urges, self-destruction

— Injuries, cuts, lacerations, stab wounds, gunshot wounds, bite marks, scratches, bruises, scabs, gore, viscera, innards

— Bloodied knuckles, knives, blades, guns, revolvers, shotguns, bullets, shrapnel

— Provoking someone, aggressive moshing in hardcore pits, harshly bumping into people in hallways, yelling so loud it sounds like barks, using blunt and vulgar language, being "improper" in public (manspreading, resting feet across bus seats, slouching)

— Street fights, urban exploration, graffitied tunnels, empty alleyways, band posters, first-person-shooter games

— Industrial and nu-metal music / subculture / fashion. Oversized t-shirts, baggy jeans, DIY clothing, wallet chains, spiked jewelry, greasy hair, piercings, chunky shoes.

It’s important for your term to come out well that you be clear in what you want! The only thing I required to be specified is a general idea or definition of the term. But I highly appreciate it when you come up with a specific definition, name for the flag or term, colors/patterns/shapes that you could want on the flags, etc! To give you a little secret, this typically helps your flag come out faster!

I’m only comfortable with free re-coins or sorts of the similar, if given expressed permission by the creator. if there heavenly is a term coin that it’s a definition of another flag consider our flag an version.

- I have implemented omegaverse into my lifestyle for a long time, since I was a pre-teen. finding the miscecanis community made me feel so incredibly seen and I’m very grateful for the experience I’ve had there. however, I have a lot of current anxiety posting about my experiences with it and for the sake of avoiding any harm to anyone and myself, I’m coining cirnatura for myself and some friends. I don’t expect it will pick up like miscecanis has as a term but that’s okay, I want to make it clear this doesn’t exist to replace/recoin or stand against miscecanis in any way. I wish no ill-will to the coiner.

- anyone in the world is welcome to use cirnatura. you can be a miscecanid and also use cirnatura if you want. I don’t want my own ideologies attached to my terms and you are welcome to disagree with me on discourse and still use them. people could be cirnatura for any reason, alterhumanity plurality neurodivergency or just because whaaatever the world is your oyster

A headmate role/term for headmates that are meant to break transmisogynistic/anti transfeminism ideas that have been in the system and/or others.

I cannot use my preferred name here because everyone sees it only as the name of an anime character. I cannot use photos of myself because of the extreme fetishisation of Asian appearances; I have had random people upload photos of me to Pinterest and use them as PFPs when I had no association with them. I cannot make specific cultural terms without throwing up at the thought of them being seen as commodities by outsiders. It's scary. People I've spoken to privately can confirm this.

Nobody listens. Nobody cares to change. Even well meaning arguments go too far and end up hurting those you made an attempt to protect. A lot of education posts made by minorities are seen as “scruffy” or “jumbled”, and that is because there is so much expectation for strangers to educate the wider populace on topics they may not even hold a firm opinion on. When there's backlash, there's an expectation for the poster to be okay with rampant displays of bigotry, they should be used to it because they're a minority. That's not how it works most times. But nobody cares to listen to that, either.
