ripped at every edge

most people would be offended that nico pulled away but he just smiled. he had missed nico, and the whole gang. she wasn’t so much the touchy-feely and that was cool with him. they hadn’t been super close, but he also felt nico had always been the most honest with him. in a way he could be just as honest with her. after all she was the first person he admitted to liking gert to. he had always been afraid of saying it out loud, but with nico it just came out. 

dick wanted to leave robin behind, but the truth was, as much as he hated to admit it, robin was who he was. it had become apart of him like his own skin. he wasn’t sure how or if he could leave it behind. it remained a beautiful fantasy. still the violence, the isolation he felt, all of it, was just too much. being robin didn’t work, not being robin didn’t work. maybe he could find something else, or someone else to be. 

chase smiled at his kind friend ❝thanks karolina, i know everyone was worried about me, but i promise i’m fine now. i was doing a bit better, with ty on my ass to get my shit together. i’m enrolled in engineer classes, and i’m doing better, i promise❞ he would not argue that after gert’s death he went dark. he was angry, depressed, lonely and he was a bit of a jerk, always drunk to numb the pain. with the help of ty, and of course gert being alive, he was able to pull himself together. 

lizzie hated this feeling. her mental health was everything to her. she had been working so hard on it, and she just wanted to be normal. however the way he was talking, lizzie felt that it might be true. hope had said some people had forgotten her, and while lizzie didn’t this time, maybe.. just maybe it was true. she tried to compose herself. ❝so you’re saying you are real? not something my crazy brain came up with?❞ there was a sense of relief. she wasn’t insane, and she wasn’t ill. she was in fact getting better. ❝what heroic act sebastian? all i remember is thinking you weren’t real, and of course remembering hope. i don’t know what you are talking about. some how people have lost their memory, i thought i wasn’t, but i guess❞ his last statement had her shook. lizzie had often crushed on guys who didn’t feel the same, but hearing sebastian say he loved her, she was stunned ❝you... you what?❞ she asked confused. 

lizzie hugged her birth mom. she loved caroline, but she shared dna with jo. she couldn’t help but wanna get to know her. she was as beautiful as she always imagined. she felt safe, and warm in jo’s arms, not that her dad or her mom ever made her feel anything less. she had always felt odd. after all she was the only one who seem to suffer from mental illness. maybe jo could shed some light, or even provide that missing piece that lizzie felt like she was missing  ❝thank you so much mom... jo.. um❞ she felt a bit awkward. she had always called her mom, mom and her dad, dad. now she had a second mom, what should she refer her as? she felt like a betrayal to caroline who had raised her. still she didn’t know if calling her jo was some form of disrespect ❝i’m sorry i don’t know what i should call you. is there something you want to be called?❞ she admitted, and figured it would make sense to leave it up to jo. after all being called mom might be weird to her. maybe they could find their own unique name to have lizzie call jo. 

Dinah smiled at Pam. it was refreshing to have strong females around her, ones that inspire her, and encouraged her growth. ones who didn’t see her success as something against them, but as a strength. she had been in the shadow of oliver and his team, even her sister, that she almost forgot what it felt like to be apart of a group that cared about her ❝i guess i’ve let my father, ollie, hell everyone, tell me i wasn’t good enough to be her, to be the black canary. that i was just doing for some kind of attention, not because i could be her. or that i would want to be hero for the sake of trying to make the world a better place❞ she gave her friend a hug ❝thanks pam, i’m lucky i have you.❞

Dinah opened her car ❝ that’s cool! i’m from central city. big city, small town if you know what i mean❞ she smiled and turned on the AC  ❝i’ve been dying to go to the beach, but work has been keeping me busy❞ she admitted, although it wasn’t just her day job that kept her busy. her night activities ❝so sophie, what brings you to the city of angels?❞

dick offered ❝well i have the day off, wanna go now?❞ dick was used to keeping to himself, and knew that he should branch out. that’s what everyone who knows him would say. he smiled thinking of past conversations with Donna and how he should try and be more out there. ❝it maybe not so busy and crowded because its not so hot out. i mean its warm, but not typical weather people go to the beach❞ he didn’t want to push the blonde or come off weird, but truth was, he wasn’t that great with people he didn’t know. he spent a lot of time training and being off by himself, it was strange to put himself out there

Elena wasn’t scared of Kai, she hated him, and seeing him made her angry. she thought of the time she missed with the people she loved, how her family and friends had suffered because of him, but she wasn’t scared. he taunted her and she smirked  ❝is that suppose to scare me? please. from what i hear your nieces are here and at least josie seems like a force to be reckoned with. Since you took their birth mother from them, do you really think they wouldn’t kick your ass?❞ 

dick felt bad. he had been joking with jason, but it seemed jason was dealing with way more than he led on. dick felt bad. he looked at him ❝jason, i was kidding, are you ok?❞ which felt a stupid question. bruce had a way of finding lost kids, kids who had a lot of baggage much like his own. he had heard bits and pieces of it from Jason, but he always played it off to dick like it was no big deal. clearly he was more upset and hurt by it than he lead on ❝come on man, you know i get it❞ he worried about jason, about all of them. bruce meant well. but he wasn’t always, in tune to what kids needed

ben couldn’t help but smile at the perky blonde. even drunk she was kinda adorable. hell she was adorable all the time. ben could give him and kiss her, but kissing her now almost felt wrong. besides she was just flirting because she was drunk. she would probably forget in the morning and hate him by then. still he looked into her eyes, his feelings bubbling to the surface and added ❝right cause i would kiss you, and you’d kiss me, and then it would be a thing and we can’t have that i mean... no matter how badly i wanna kiss you..❞
