Mildred's daily walk with God

Highlights: 8/7/26

- Smooth and good check up with the doctor.

- went out with my mum and aunt Annie for a walk outside at compassOne.

People tend to make mistakes. We all are.

Sometimes we need the wisdom of God and a God fearing heart not to do what is not right.

This is a verse I'm trying to meditate:

“In your anger do not sin”[a]: Do not let the sun go down while you are still angry." - Proverbs 4:26

Be more empathetic and compassionate to everyone that you meet.

You never know who is going through a tough time in this only lifetime we have.

Some people may seem to do very well in their lives. But God sees the heart all the time.

He sees you when you are trying your best to cover up your happy countenance. He sees you even when you are trying to make others happy and you laugh with them.

But no one really sees that pain, that struggle and that lostness that you feel.

So that's why people suffer as much.

We cannot compare our trials and tribulations with one another because we are so different and unique.

I may not understand fully why someone who has been abused by their loved ones. I may not understand why someone feels exceptionally lonely or being rejected by someone close.

But I know what I can do is not to be quick to judge.

I know how it feels to be rejected. And sadness, even for a little bit, others may despise and say that, 'why are you so sensitive? It's just a small problem.'

But to God, He never despise my sadness and the difficulties that I am going through.

God never fails even if others will.

I met people who felt so dejected and lonely. I've seen people getting hurt by their most closed knit family and friends.

As much as I don't want to be indifferent, I know that at least, I can lend a listening ear to him/her.

I just do whatever I can to help that person.

My strength is limited. I'm not joking.

I have my limits. I couldn't do what people could do.

But God never once despised me.

So does God to you.

This is my reflection of tonight, today.

I tend to get angry sometimes. But I know it is not healthy to my heart.

So God help me in my weaknesses. I depend on You.

We also need the righteousness of God to guide us into Truth and the way to love.

The temptation of this world is very real.

But so is God's holiness and sovereignty in my life.

Dear God, today is my first day of work today.

Mum and I bought new clothes to wear. And yes, I'm wearing them.

I'm just sitting on the outside of a bench somewhere at bedok.

What do you see in a person?

The outward appearance

The job position

The success they hold onto

The pride of life

The indifference in their hearts

Why not look at their hearts instead?

We tend to look at the wrong perspective in life.

God has been reminding me about not putting Him first in my life.

I told God, I need a job. Desperately.

Wasn't feeling well back then.

But God showed me something.

He told me that He is good.

I can hope in Him because He is a good Father.

Sometimes the success and the fleshly desires of this world can often yield us into making bad choices in life.

I'm talking just about the heart.

The heart condition.

God sees the heart, ALL THE TIME.

even if you fill your heart with priorities of success and capability, God does not rejoice in the outlook or outward appearance.

Yes having a good job and a stable family are great. Having to go around over the world and gaining other people's attention are cool.

But who are you, in the quiet? In your own room of your rest and place?

God sees the inner heart in you. The real you, when you feel that something is off or missing.

That's where you start to look for answers. To look for being known, seen and heard.

That's where God wants to start His work in you, if you want to seek Him.

His grace and love over your capability to perform.

He is not looking performance. He sees obedience in you.

Everything you do, you do out of the overflow of the heart.

Dear God

I'm on a solo trip today. Off day today.

Having mc flurry Oreo ice cream again at Macs.

Should've really controlled myself not to eat ice cream anymore. But I want to chill at Macs, that's why I bought this ice cream for a reason.

Dear God

I thank You for my new job that You have chosen for me, is to be at HappyCare Student care, as a student care teacher.

I recently bought a new quite expensive notebook to try the system out; bullet journalling, but a little tweaks here and there.

I hope I can finish this notebook.:)

Dear God, judgement belongs to You alone.

Another day of Your peaceful rest.

I hope in You.

We all have emotions.

God and Jesus have emotions.

So that's why God does not despise your emotions. Happiness and sadness.

Don't try to suppress it, because I know that emotions are a part of me.

We are all living.

Come to God just as I am.

Dear God

Thank You for reminding me how much I need You in my life.

These 3 words are what you told me the truth: 'You are weak'.

I can't live without You.

I hope You will hear me. And to comfort me. 

I know You are the Truth that I have been seeking for.

Jesus thank You for dying for my sins and shame.

You spark a joy in my heart, love.

Emotions that were vulnerable.

Humility and vulnerability come together.

Self love. Loving and appreciating myself just as I am.
