I was lucky enough to go into the game completely blind and yeah that paid off. I’ve played enough jrpgs to understand what I should be paying attention to. Like yeah I clocked Alba as a potential antagonist the moment he showed up, but like the way in which he revealed everything by the end was insane. I had literally completely forgotten about him in all the chaos just like the characters. And obviously Lorence was more than meets the eye, silver haired antagonist in a jrpg with an unknown past and the hardest fight in the game (yeah that fight in the castle was hard since I didn’t have a strategy set with Schera and Kloe and had to remake it a few times, tho Kloe would end up being part of the final team in the last dungeon bc Weiss Aura). Silver Will is also a certified banger, right up there with some of the best.

Never truly gonna get over the adopted sibling romance but again I have played enough jrpgs to where I’m kind of just numb to the weirdness at this point. When the overall broad narrative is so good i think that helps hold it together despite that and whatever the fuck Olivier is on.

Gonna wait until the remake for the second game comes out to play it, sadly I prefer to play games on console since I only have a laptop which I use for other things. I think that’s good tho, it gives me time to digest and think about the game while also exploring other options. I don’t wanna be drowning in debt after purchasing all…13 GAMES WHAT THATS LIKE $300
