I woke up this morning ready to do some yard work on my day off. As I was about to do this, I was trying to figure out how many times I’ve voted in my life as I think this would be my 5th/6th time. I was excited to sign up for the selective service at 18 then to vote, due to my wonderful grandmother. As I scrolled through social media this morning, I’ve seen a number of people / businesses posting “delete me if you believe this” or “unfriend me if you believe that”. I hate Election Day honestly. This kind of behavior reminds me of my teenage years. Something I never talk about. Most of my teenage years I was bullied from 1 guy in general from 6th grade till my senior year. I use to get thrown pencils at me as I walked down the halls and chased after school almost daily. Coming from a small town where I had a Mohawk and called “faggot” repeatedly from passing cars as I skateboard down the street and then yelled “Elvis” when I got a pompadour at 17. This guy stood above the rest. One time I said I had enough and stood up for myself. The political shaming i see today is a form of bullying. Ignore those people and stand up for yourself. You shouldn’t be ashamed for who you are and what you do for yourself. Vote for whom you believe in, not what you’re told to believe. #stopthehate #stopbullying #stoppoliticalshaming #stopshaming #stophatred #2020 #vote (at Galesburg, Illinois) https://www.instagram.com/p/CHIr6Fxhre_/?igshid=azmwtks4eseq
