So excited to present the MetalSucks.net Lyric Video Premiere of "23 Wounds", the first song off of the upcoming @ordinancemusic album 'The Ides Of March'! I'm very much a sucker for concept albums as some of you may know from my previous work on A Voice Within/VicesVirtuesVisions/Fugue, but I took a much different approach to the lyrical concept behind the sophomore Ordinance release. The Ides Of March is comprised of fifteen chapters inspired by the events and conspiracy leading up to Julius Caesar's assassination on March 15th 44BC. Each narrative is written from the perspectives of the key members of the Liberatores (the conspirators involved in the assassination plot), as well as Marc Antony, Julius Caesar, Calpurnia, and Octavian. A few Shakespearean liberties were taken here and there but the story is very much based on fact. I hope you all enjoy "23 Wounds", the first installment from the album, written from the perspective of Marc Antony.
