Adventure is Out There!!

Being able to connect with my company and give them recommendations for their company has been great for me. The company I decided to help out would be the BBQ restaurant that one of my high school teachers own and I thought that maybe with some of this new stuff that I learned I would be able to help them get out into the cyber world and real world to help boost their revenue and popularity as a restaurant, and become the next big BBQ joint.

A couple of the recommendations I gave to my company would be

creating a TikTok/ other social media platforms

be more welcoming for your community to engage

get your advertising in more trends that any age will watch.

These three were like the biggest points I had made out of all of my memos I sent to the company. Some challenges I think they might face will be how they are able to reach those who are far out of the zone. If people wanted their food, and they are across state or they are across country, how would they be able to get it. the goal would be to get restaurants all over the place so people don't have to wonder how to get the food. Plus another thing they might struggle with would be communicating with the media community, and being able to ignore the hateful comments. Comments are always tough to respond to and not take to heart, which can make it tough to want to connect with the community that is there to support you. And being able to get their food into all trends would be tough, even if their food wouldn't fit the circumstances of certain trends.

After reading Social Organization parts 4 and 5, I learned about some persuasive guidelines for creating a web-based local community with online amusement. A hierarchical methodology known as a "people group coordinated effort technique" recognizes and supports networks while identifying desired behavioral patterns and anticipated advantages. The system entails selecting appropriate coordinated activities and deciding where and when to provide resources to them in light of a clear motive that informs all subsequent procedure considerations. A portfolio approach to local area coordination enables organizations to manage projects and regulate the rate of advancement, controlling increase and speculation. The No, Go, Develop option model helps associations grow their portfolio strategically by identifying grassroots networks from important hierarchical pushes that demand more active endeavors to continue. The portfolio the board is a core competence of social associations.

Content in social media is something that is very important to many people. Some use it for just people to see how they are living their life, and others use it to make money. Effective content is content that would help market your own company and is really good with gaining customers and growth in anyones company. However, some people get stuck with developing and then sharing their content. One way to help develop and share content would be a purpose map mentioned in chapter 6 of The Social Organization. The purpose of the effective content should be a specific and meaningful reason for collaboration that will motivate members of a community to interact and contribute. But taking this purpose and have a mapped out plan for it to help grow your community with the effective content you have. It also identifies the target community and how it may change over time. Plus being able to develop a business justification that identifies the communities tangible business benefits and costs. One Example of a company developing their content would be Blue Cross. According to the HealthLeaders article, Blue Cross emphasizes how they wanted to have more self-reported patient data to create greater volume, quality, and consistency. They also want standardization in how language and gender identity questions are presented and across the technology systems that gather and analyze this data.

Today's internet business strategies mostly focus on gathering data on their platforms' users. Because these platforms want to know more about their customers so they can better target their adverts, as the speaker Maciej Ceglowski stated, it just keeps happening and becoming worse. Yet, this loop has grown extremely poisonous since not only do these platforms purchase ad spots, but the ad corporations also make claims about how doing so will boost businesses' sales and attract more people. In order to keep their promises and gain money, this encourages people to dive even further into our privacy, but at the expense of our right to privacy. Everything becomes eerie as it progresses, and doubts are raised concerning what information do they have, where is it, and how long can they store it? Even random websites that I don't use regularly that collect "cookies" terrify me as I think about it more and more. Will they even find some of this knowledge useful? The fact that practically every online business model saves user information disturbs me.

Having a Social Media Consultant is something great because if you are not a big technology or social media person and want to find more ways to spread a business or product in a big way, a consultant will do such a thing. Personally, I think some good qualities a Social Media Consultant should have would be Understanding the analytics, the social media tools provided, and knowing how to market through email and any other social media. having an understanding of analytics is so important due to the fact that you can try and get a post out there where everyone will see at a popular time or a time where people are needing the business or product. And being able to run a site where you understand all the tools they have on that social media. Plus if you are good at marketing online with others over social media and knowing how to sound over text. If I were to be a consultant to myself, I would first try to set some good goals. The SMART technique I would start off with. Basically start off with small and accomplishable goals that are measurable to reach in a short amount of time. I would also try and keep myself updated and being sensitive to recent events if any happen to gain the Loyalty of others. I guess so far I have been able to keep up with my posts and have a set time to post them, however one thing that could help would be using all sorts of social media instead of just one, to get my product, or company across The whole internet and let people know about my things.

In todays society we see a lot of companies, ranging from social media to shopping websites, having big data and algorithms to help grow their company and people using their company. The reason why the data is so powerful is because for one user on an app, lets say tiktok for example, they try and understand what you like to watch and was is more of an interest in you. Reason why you say that your phones are listening to you, because in reality they are. Cathy O'Neil on the show "The social dilemma," said that " algorithms are opinion, embedded in code." They talk about how they put a goal for that computer to reach and that the computer grows everyday to get you to stay on the app you are on for longer and longer to get you to enjoy their product even more. This is called computer growing. Reason why these algorithms and datas are dangerous is because of the fact that young teens get sucked into thinking that this social media app depicts who they are going to be and depicts their happiness. They talked about how the growing of depression in younger teen girls has grown dramatically over the past several years. Also the growth of suicides for teen girls has more than grown over the past several years. These algorithms can abuse the mindset of youth and get them to be hypnotized in their own phone and never leave that products world and live in it. Can also cause health risks.

Personally, I think that these issues can be solved by first of all, having parents have a good restriction on the use their children have on technology or social media, or even just having a moral talk about how social media/technology does not define them or their life. I find that getting professional help, if they find themselves getting depressed or even, getting helped with being addicted to a certain product.

Social Media Influence.

Hello friends My name is Michael Heldman, and I am a Sophomore Currently Majoring in Communications. I am a student athlete at Central Michigan University playing football. I would say growing up I was more into the arts as my mother was. I never had a dad around to raise me so It was just my mother and my siblings for my life. I grew up for a passion for music and fishing. I got into sports around middle school where I was able to use my frustration of life and Chanel into the sport I played which was football. I played baseball for a bit but it was short lived. I have been playing football ever since the 7th grade and Now I am playing in the collegiate level. One thing I am excited about for my career is to turn this football career of my into a pro one. If that doesn't work out, I would like to work as a music artist or even a salesman. I hope to accomplish a lot of things with this blog and hopefully make something out of it. One company that is great with its social media would be Nike Jordan. I couldn't really find any terms within the first chapter but with all of the ads and all of the commercials used to sell their product is ridiculous. Nike Jordan Apparel is also used in movies as well, to help sell their product.
