“Woohoo, our first gig!” Woonhak exclaimed, buzzing with excitement.

He grabbed Jaehyun’s hands and spun him in a messy circle, the two of them laughing like kids who’d had too much sugar. Taesan stayed where he was, arms crossed, but the small smile tugging at his lips gave him away.

They hadn’t always been here. For months, it was just late nights in Taesan’s garage—cheap mics, tangled wires, and take after take until their voices went hoarse. They posted everything online anyway. Covers, originals, even the messy ones.

They had a few fans at first. But then they grew to a few hundred, then now over 3,000. And in every comment section of their videos, buried under emojis and keyboard smashes, was the same demand: perform live.

So they listened. It took a while though. emails ignored, messages left on read—it wasn't easy. But eventually, one small venue said yes. And that lead them to where they were now.

Jaehyun quickly posted an announcement of their gig including all the important information—date, place, and time—on every platform they were on. Woonhak called his friends and family, already inviting everyone he knows while Taesan ran to his room to pick out an outfit for the big night.

After making the post, Jaehyun did the same as Woonhak, inviting as much people as he could.

Time flew by fast. And before they knew it, it was 10 minutes until their performance started. That's when the doubt and worry came in, nervous causing them to shake as they reran the setlist together backstage.

But as the clock ticked and the crowd roared as they stepped on stage, the adrenaline helped them overcome their anxiety.

They spotted strangers, friends, and family in the crowd. It wasn't a big show, nothing like being on a stadium for a concert or anything, but it was still really big for them.

Though just below them, Jaehyun spotted someone. His friend Riwoo with his vibrant orange hair, a blonde guy next to him who seemed to be his friend and the prettiest man Jaehyun as ever seen. He had brown long hair, plump lips, and sharp but sparkly eyes that made Jaehyun stare. He seemed to lose focus but his fingers played and he sang as if it were an instinct.

Before they knew it, the 5 songs they prepared were done and the crowd was cheering for them. They came off stage and ran to their friends and greeted the strangers who seemed to be their new fans.

Though Jaehyun only had one person in mind.

By the time he reached Riwoo, the brunette and blonde had already gone. Probably went to the bathroom or got lost in the crowd. Jaehyun was too shy to ask about them, so he decided to take his chances the next day. He chatted with Riwoo for a while, before leaving to get his stuff off stage. Once they finished packing up, the venue was already empty, so they went home.
