Hi Lilo. First of all, I love you. This is a letter to u in a year from now. I’m at the Rhythm Room with Aaron thinking about how strange everything in life is, and how interestingly things work out and I’m just perplexed by how the people in my life came to be in my life. I wouldn’t change a fucking thing knowing that all of it would lead to this. I’m surrounded by the most incredible people I could ever imagine knowing. I wonder what ur doing right now. I wonder if you pursued music (I really fucking hope so) cause we have one life and imagine thinking you could have used your gift to its full potential but instead settling for the life that was fearfully projected onto you by others. Right now, u are in ur first week of OR nursing. It’s stressful, but you know you can be great at anything you set your mind to…in no time you will be very trusted and respected at work. I hope that no matter what you do, you do what you love. Right now, that’s music. Well, I guess it always has been music to be honest. I hope you’re not attaching any self worth to how well received (or poorly received) a song is. You love music. You feel free when you make it. You lose track of time. You have infinite ideas. Remember the nights that making a song saved you from spiraling? Remember nice try? You have infinite potential.
