I played Something Evil Will Happen on Roblox with @midnight404 , and we cosplayed as Cuphead and Bendy hehehe. Lots of fun shenanigans, 10/10 experience
In this post, I will be sharing four separate AUs I have come up with that were lucky enough for me to try and draw the Cuphead of plus some more information about the AU I came up with. In order, the AUs are: Draft, Street Dancer x Professional Dancer, AI x Virus, and lastly a mermaid AU. These were all made with the intention of Bendystraw, I just didn't feel like drawing the Bendys.

Above is a draft version of Cuphead. It is an unfinished version of Cuphead that was found and brought to the Inkwell Isles. He is constantly dripping ink from cracks along his body; it's also seeping out from his eyes. Some of the displaced ink has even given him a tail. His outfit, due to having not been decided before getting scrapped, is different every time you look at him. His form is extremely unstable, and he looks like he is melting. He does not have a personality at first; it starts to form after exposure to the inkwell isles. Like finished Cuphead his symbol is a diamond, however his is an unfinished sketch of one. His right arm is more of a giant glob of ink than an arm at first; however, it starts changing into a proper arm after a while.
I actually cannot say much about Draft Bendy due to the fact that I'm letting one of my friends work on him instead!

This is Street Dancer Cuphead! Honestly, the lack of these kinda impressed me since Bendy's entire thing is dancing, but who knows, maybe I just didn't look hard enough?
Anyways! In the bottom left is actually Cuphead's graffiti signature, since he's both a street dancer and a graffiti artist! I intentionally didn't draw his eyes, and the C is also meant to look like a paintbrush! While hidden under his clothes, he actually has a lot of cracks all over his body from dancing, some from him messing up a trick, some from him just being Cuphead and landing wrong, some from other things that aren't really important.
Since Cuphead has really baggy, flowy parts of his outfit
Bendy would have stretchy but form-fitting clothes, nothing too tight, but they're not even close to what Cupheads wearing
I wanted their outfits to contrast each other because they dance differently and likely learned stuff differently
Bendy learnt the 'proper' way, like school and tutoring
Cuphead learnt through watching other street performers, sometimes joining them in their dance and asking them for tips to improve on his own.
Cuphead tricks Bendy into joining him during one of his normal routines in front of an audience. Bendy is super stiff because he's never performed like this before, but with Cuphead's and the crowd's encouragement, he ends up letting loose a little and has a lot of fun with him.
Bendy once gives Cuphead a ticket to one of his dances, and Cuphead goes and enjoys watching him, even if the entire time he feels super underdressed compared to everyone else, since he went in his street clothes.
Bendy Jokely asks Cuphead if he can draw him after finding out about his graffiti, and to his surprise, a few days later, Cuphead shows him the drawing he did of him!
How I think they'd meet would be through Bendy going to a different part of town than he usually does. Not like a bad part of town, just a part he never really had to go to before. Anyway, as he's walking down the sidewalk, he starts to hear some Music out of nowhere, and he decides to investigate where it's coming from. When he gets there, he's met with a street dancer: Not something you see often. He ends up deciding to stay and watch them. Maybe he can learn something new? Anyway, at the end of his dance, Cuphead takes the hood down as he downs a bottle of water after all that exercise, and Bendy is hit with the fact that he finds him very attractive. Cuphead ends up noticing Bendy as the crowd leaves him to let him take a break, and strikes up a conversation with him.

This is Virus Cuphead! I, actually, don't like this drawing. The little creature on the left is Cuphead's pet, which he made from unused code. Bendy is some type of creative AI, and Cuphead is a Virus that someone installed with the intention of breaking Bendy. Bendy, due to boredom, ends up allowing Cuphead to stay with him. Over time, their codes start to mix, making it nearly impossible to remove one without damaging the other in the process. Bendy starts off Black and white, but from Cuphead's code, he unlocks access to colours and gives himself a red accessory. Eventually, they find out about Cuphead and try to delete him, but from Bendy and Cuphead's protests, they end up instead messing with Cuphead's code to make him an antivirus instead of a virus. Here's the scene of how they met that I wrote some time ago:
"HelLo!!¡" Bendy whips around at the unknown sound. Nobody else should be here with him! He quickly finds the source (not like they were hiding anyway), some kind of… glitch? Virus? Whatever they are, they're not meant to be here. They're smiling at him, excitedly waving when they notice he's been spotted.
"What're you doing here?" Bendy questions them, getting a shrug in response. Great, either they don't know or they're intentionally not telling him.
"sO¡ WhaT do U dO for Fun?" He asked, looking around the very bare space. Fun? What a concept, Bendy thought, he… didn't really have 'fun'. He's an Artificial Intelligence, he's not made to have fun, he's made to entertain the humans! At the lack of an answer, the other thing ends up looking around before opening up… something. It turned out to be some kind of paint app that came with the computer, not something Bendy really paid much attention to, but clearly his new… roommate disagreed with not having any fun as he pressed some buttons and started to 'paint', it looked horrible, but even then he seemed to be having 'fun'. He laughed before gesturing towards Bendy, telling him he should try this out with him! Well, I guess it couldn't hurt to try…

Lastly, is Mermaid Cuphead~
He lives in a lake; however, he likes to visit the nearby ocean beach to look at the land creatures/toons. During one of these visits, he is spotted by Bendy and ends up befriending the other toon by accident, despite the fact that neither of them speaks the other's language. After a while, Bendy ends up accidentally spotting Cuphead's gills and realizing the other is a mermaid. Sometimes, Cuphead will bring him things from the ocean or the lake. One day, after Bendy lets him try out a hot dog, he ends up bringing him a raw fish to eat in return. The seaweed on his handle isn't actually covering anything, it's there because Mugman has a crack on his and he wanted him to feel better about it! He also once gave Boris a pet hermit crab because he wanted to see how he'd react.
The plot for it that I'm not doing is Captain Briney Beard kidnaps Cuphead to give to Cala Maria, and while that's happening, Mugman ends up finding and getting Bendy and Boris to help him find Cuphead. However, it was all for naught as Cala doesn't eat Mercups and ends up letting Cuphead go. I just don't like it enough to do it.

Wow, you actually read all of that? I'm impressed! Here, as a reward, I'll share with you the start of an AU I'm actively working on. It's gonna be called 'Stupid Cupid' if I finish it!
While not very often, some beings may be blessed with a mark that will help them find their other half. While most records of such a thing are for those with long lifespans, there's been accounts of it happening to mortals, usually when their other half is an immortal.
Typically ones other half is of the same species, but sometimes it can be of two different ones.
There's an old story of a demon and his other half, who was a type of angel, a cupid, and how despite everything against them, they ended up finding each other.
With a hint of Bendystraw because I am, in fact, a loser. Actual Pokémon people, I'm only half sorry for the fact that I probably messed stuff up about how Pokémon work. Also, Trans Cuphead yay! I use They/Them until he confesses how he feels, then I intentionally swap over to He/him. If you catch any before that, uh, no, you didn't

Scene one - Cuphead Figuring themself out
Cuphead lay on their bed, petting their Eevee as it lowly purred on their stomach. They should be asleep, but their mind has been racing recently and refuses to quiet down no matter what. They grab onto their pet Eevee- Cuphead's had it since it was a baby, and for as long as they could remember- it opened its eyes a little as they shifted to sitting down, staring at Cuphead as they looked up, lost in thought. Right before the Eevee closed it's eyes to relax they mumbled something, the Eevee pressed it's paw against their chest, trying to ask them to repeat themself. They looked down with a sad smile before saying a little louder, "I… Don't think I'm a girl," The Eevee tilted its head a little as it processed the information. Shortly after, there was a bright flash of light as it evolved! In Cuphead's lap instead of an Eevee now stood a Slyveon! His eyes brightened as he clutched them close to his chest, understanding what the evolution meant. "…Thank you," He mumbled into its fur as it licked his tears away and let the ribbons from her wrap around him as she tried to comfort him. When he finally pulled away, he asked her, "So, should I still call you my little Eve?" It chirped out a quiet 'Vee! Vee!' "Alright then~" He responded before yawning, "Guess I should finally go to sleep, huh?" He joked before lying back in his bed. His newly evolved Slyveon lay on his stomach as he slept, a smile on his face for the first time since he first started questioning it. Maybe soon he'll tell Mugman about his thoughts…
Scene Two - Clothes
"Alright Fennekin, I need you to let me know if they get home early, okay?" He asked as he petted its head. The Fennekin let out a 'Kin! Kin!' before it ran out the door to watch out for Elder Kettle or Mugman. He smiled as he watched it run before turning back around and starting to look through Mugman's clothing drawers. He wanted to see what it would be like to wear boys' clothes for once! He knew he already dressed more boy-ish, but it was still clothes from the girls' section. His newly evolved Slyveon was watching him from her place atop the dresser as he dug through the clothes.

He was changed into a simple Sweater and sweatpants, but wow, he was not expecting it to feel so good to wear! He couldn't admire how he felt for too long, though, as Fennekin burst into the room with a loud shout. 'KIN! KIN!' Causing him to jump out of surprise, catching Fennekin as it jumped into his arms out of pure reflex. Before he could do anything, though, Elder Kettle walked in and just stared at him, wearing Mugman's clothes.

"If you wanted clothes from the boys' section, you only had to ask!" Huh? Elder Kettle continued, likely sensing the confusion radiating off of the other. "I had a feeling you wanted clothes from there. I was waiting for you to ask for some because I wasn't sure I wasn't just seeing things! You know my eyesight isn't the best these days,"
"You'd… be willing to get me clothes from the boys' section?"
"Of course I would! You're my child, I wouldn't want you to be uncomfortable," Cuphead could feel tears starting to form as he ran up and hugged Elder Kettle, his Fennekin crawling on top of his shoulders to get out of the way. "Oh dear, just them out. It's okay,"
"Thank you…" He mumbled out, just loud enough for Elder Kettle to hear as he hugged him even tighter.
Scene Three - What a Weird Pokemon...
Cuphead walked through the forest's grass, doing his best to avoid all the bug Pokémon around him. He was following his Fennekin, which had suddenly straightened up and run off! He and Slyveon have no idea what caused that, but he's sure he'll figure it out soon. Indeed, he did, as he walked into a clearing and was met with his Fennekin pawing at a Poké Ball in the grass. Did… did someone abandon their pokémon out here? He wondered as he walked towards the ball and Fennekin, the Fennekin let out a 'Kin! Kin!' when it noticed he finally arrived. He reached out and grabbed the Poké Ball, pressing to release the Pokémon trapped inside. He wasn't sure exactly what Pokémon he was expecting, but he's sure what came out isn't one he's ever seen before. As the pokeball started dripping ink, he dropped it out of shock, causing it to roll away. When it was completely covered, the ink started to form a shape around it, keeping the ball in the middle of the figure. As it was happening, his Slyveon got closer to it as his Fennekin stood defensively in front of him. Eventually, it opened its eyes and-
'VEE VEE!'
"Eve! No- Don't-" He tried, but it was too late. His slyveon was cuddling the figure, taking its attention off of him and onto her. However, instead of acting violently, it seemed to… melt at her touch? Both literally and figuratively! Uhm, should I be worried…? It carefully reached out a- he thinks it's a hand?- to pet her as she rubs against him, trying to help calm the creature down.
"I think I've seen one of you before…" It mumbles out as it does so. Definitely not a Pokémon if it can speak! But… then why's it trapped in a poke-ball?
"That's because she's a shiny Slyveon!" The creature whips its head around as if it had only just now noticed it wasn't alone. Cuphead raised his hands up before speaking.
"I promise you I don't mean to harm you! It's just that's my Eve you're petting,"
"…Eve?"
"Yep! Named her Eve when she was still a Eevee, she wanted to keep her name. So we kept it even when she became a Slyveon!"
"I… Didn't know we could have names,"
"Of course you can! Say, why don't you come up with one for yourself?" It pauses its pets on Eve, ignore the small 'Vee! Vees!' she shouts in protest. Eventually, it speaks again,
"Bendy… They always did say I was quite Bendable," The last part was muttered so lowly that Cuphead doubts he was supposed to hear it. So! He ignored it for now, something he can ask about later.
"So, Bendy, the forest isn't exactly the best place to be now that the sun's going down! Say, why don't you come back with us to my place for now? You can refuse, of course, or leave as soon as the sun comes back up!" It gets up from the ground, little Eve still in its arms as it says
"Okay…" Cuphead turns around, heading back to Kettle Cottage with his Fennekin resting on his shoulders. Today sure turned out a bit more exciting than I expected it to be! Hope Elder Kettle and Mugman don't mind the extra guest.

"Bendy!" Cuphead called, as he walked through the forest. He's been searching for what felt like hours yet in reality was only 30 minutes at the most. He wants to... apologize? Is that the right term? To Bendy, he remembers the expression he made right before running away and the tears in his eyes. It still hurt for him to think about, but he knew running after him wouldn't have worked. In fact, from experience he knew it was likely to only make it even worse if one of them is still feeling high-strung on their emotions. As he was searching for him, he ended up finding a nice, cozy looking stream. He decided to sit near the river bed to try and calm back down before he works himself back up. He sighs, thinking about what happened again as he clutched his legs to his chest.
After it had happened, he ran back home to Mugman. He SLAMMED their bedroom door open, and before Mugman could protest about the treatment of the door he blurted out 'DO YOU KNOW IF THERE'S SUCH A THING AS A ONESIDED SOULMATE BOUND?!' Tears started to gather in his eyes as he remembered what Mugman had told him, How Yes a one-sided bound is possible just extremely rare. He wishes he could be normal for Bendy, how he deserved a actual soulmate- No. We're getting off track here! He's supposed to be looking for Bendy to help him feel better, not making himself feel worse. He lets his legs fall onto the dirt as he uses his hands to wipe away the few tears that started falling, letting in a few deep breathes to help him calm down again before pushing himself up off the ground and turning around to continue his search for the other.

After awhile of fruitless searching, he ended up back at the riverbed but this time he wasn't alone. On the other side he could see Bendy, curled up and crying into his legs as his tail wrapped around himself. He walked to right before his feet would meet the water and called out for him. Bendy's head snapped up from his legs at his voice and their eyes locked together as tears where still streaming down his face.
"What are you doing here?" Bendy manages to get out,
"I was looking for you-"
"Why? To- To embarrasses me further? To make fun of me for thinking you where my soulmate?! For thinking I could have a soulmate when I'm a demon!?"
"What?- NO! No! I would never do that! I swear!"
"Then why? Why are you here in front of me?!-"
"BECAUSE I'M SORRY!" Cuphead blurts out, catching Bendy off guard as he sees the tears that started to form in his eyes start falling down. "I'm sorry I don't have a soulmate mark to go with yours! A bond. I- I never thought I would ever want one in my life so I never told you about it!- It didn't seem like something important before. But now your soulmate is me and I still don't have one." Cupheads breaths start getting shaky but he manages to force out the rest of what he wishes to say, "You have no idea how badly I wish I could say it's appeared now. How- How much I wish I was normal, how the bond isn't one-sided after all. But I can't say that, not in a way which it's true. and I'm so sorry."

Bendy got up from his spot, doing his best to rub the tears out as his eyes as he tries to get closer to Cuphead. He's still upset, but... he can't bring himself to listen to Cuphead talk about himself in such a way. He wasn't upset with Cuphead, not really. Rationally he knew that too, he was just upset and Cuphead happened to be the easiest target for him to blame. As he reaches the river bed, right as his shoes get drenched from the water as he wades through to get to Cuphead, "God, I was supposed to be the one making you feel better, not cry as well. ᴬˡˡ ᴵ'ᵐ ᵈᵒᶦⁿᵍ ᶦˢ ᵐᵃᵏᶦⁿᵍ ᶦᵗ ᵉᵛᵉⁿ ʷᵒʳˢᵉ-" he hears Cuphead say in a shaky voice as he reaches up in a futile attempt to wipe away his tears, for every tear he gets two more take it's place. It makes Bendy's heart break hearing this, even more so than when he found out his bond wasn't requited.
"No, you're not" He finally speaks up, his voice raw from all the crying he's been doing all day. As he makes it to Cuphead, he reaches out his hands to grab onto the other to help him stay, "You're not making it worse." His tail flickers before wrapping around Cupheads leg, he needs him to be present for what he says next, needs him to be able to hear him. "You never needed to apologize-"
"But-" Bendys hands grip Cupheads arms tighter as he does his best to look at him, it's hard but he needs to say this.
"I wasn't upset with you, not really. I was more-" He takes in a deep breath, closing his eyes momentarily before reopening them as he lets it out. "I was more upset with myself." There's a moment of silence as the words register in Cupheads mind, as his body freezes as he is finally given a moment to breathe after Bendy's confession. As the words finally click for him, all he can get out is a shaky laugh before asking:
"We're just a big mess, aren't we?" Bendy gives a weak smile in return,
"We wouldn't be us if we weren't,"
There's still more for them to talk about, this isn't a finished conversation. Just one being put on pause for the time being. They're not perfect, and they never will be but for now...
For now, they're feeling a little better about this. They have an idea of how to move forward.

Alright, I think I'm done with this one now. I saw a bunch of versions of this with Bendy, and like, okay, I get it. But I wanted to make one with Cuphead. Why is Mugman not a part of the talkshow? Simple: Dude has both horrible stage fright and backstage fright, so I doubt he would've done little more than freezing up

Bendy looked up from the grass as he caught his breath. In his sight was an older billboard. It was a bit messed up from the weather and likely has been forgotten by the people behind it, but he can see- Is that…Cuphead? clear as day, Cuphead, lying on the front. In his hand is a wired microphone, the other falling behind him and out of view, the wire attached going around his torso and legs before also disappearing. In a fancy font above him read 'Tune your radios to hear the voice of the Isles!'
I never knew he was popular. He lets out a little sigh of disbelief as he looks the billboard over again.
Of course, the billboard was faded by now, and the bright red it used to be is now extremely dull, and the corners are peeling off. Yet as his eyes roam over it a third time, he's met with the startling realization that Cuphead is really pretty…

"You used to be a radio host?" Cuphead stops in what he was doing before turning to look at Bendy,
"…How do you know about that? I never mentioned it," He asks with suspicion in his gaze. Bendy does his best to prove he's innocent of any stalking as he reveals what he saw the other day.
"I saw a billboard with you on it! It was really old and worn looking, but I could still tell who it was on the front," Cuphead stays silent. We never got any billboards for it. "So, would you be willing to tell me more about that? You've never mentioned it before, even though you seem like the kind of person to brag about-" Cuphead glares at him, "I mean- Can I know more about what it was like?" He sighs, relaxing his body before giving in.
"Might as well. Not like it matters much anymore anyway. It was a talk show, and things were going well for a while until…"
"Until…?"
"Until it was discovered the studio was a front. As soon as that came to light, everything that was connected to that studio was shut down, and the investigations started to see who knew and who didn't,"
"…Did you-"
"No! I didn't know at the time. What kind of person do you take me for?!"
"Sorry!" Cuphead rolls his eyes at the apology but continues regardless,
"Anyway, after everything shut down, I didn't see the point in continuing my show with a new studio, so I didn't. It was fun while it lasted, but it was still a lot of work,"
"But could you have continued if you had tried?"
"Probably, yeah. People really wanted me to, hell, even Mugsy tried to convince me to reach out to another studio! To be honest, the main reason I didn't was because of studio rules and the censorship I had to deal with. If it wasn't for that, I probably would have." Bendy just kind of… stands there for a bit, absorbing this new information about Cuphead. "Well! That's not important anymore. Sure, it was good while it lasted, but no point in dwelling over something that's already done and over with!"

I wish I could listen to one of the episodes, or even for him to do it again.

He said the main reasoning was the rules! What if I somehow found a way for him to do it without dealing with that? No, that would never work. I don't even-
"Hello?~ Earth to Bendy?" He blinks his eyes to focus after being torn out of his thoughts, and is greeted with Cuphead waving a hand in front of his face while looking concerned. "You sorta spaced out there for a bit. You okay?"
"Yeah! I'm fine, was just... thinking about something,"

Cuphead froze in the doorway as he looked at the console that was connected to a microphone, sure this set up was cheap. Much cheaper than his old one at an actual studio. However, the fact Bendy put in the effort to make one that would let him restart his show was more than he ever expected the other to do. Honestly, when he told him about his past brush with fame he fully expected the other to forget about it, maybe poke and tease a little about how it ended, not for him to do this. As he shook off the surprise he moved towards the mic, tapping it a few times, smiling at the buzz sound it let out in response.
"I know it's not much but- I wanted to do this, a-and Mugman even helped me with it! Same with Boris…" Bendy said, his voice getting quieter at the end as the nerves got to him.
"Thank you," I never thought I'd get the chance again, and this time it's on my terms.

"You ready?~" Cuphead asked as he fiddled with the cord connected to the microphone between them.
"Ready as I'll ever be," Bendy says, doing his best to stay calm as he watches Cuphead turn it all on. Watching him get them live on air.
"Hello to all my listeners!~ Did y'all miss me? Well, miss me no longer, as I am finally back! And for this very special occasion, I have a special guest here with me! Everybody, listen closely as I have our very own 'Little Devil Darlin' Bendy in the studio with me tonight!~" He seems so in his element and so… happy. His smile is the widest I've ever seen it.
Okay, so like, I'm just gonna dump this here because I wrote this a month ago, and I don't think I'm gonna do anything more with it, but I like it enough to be willing to share it. I have so many little things I've written it's actually unreal. Idk if I should tag this as Bendystraw because they technically never actually meet, however, they would have if I actually, yknow, wrote more, and that was the intention for this lol
I apologize if some of this doesn't make sense.

Bendy grunted as he dragged the thing he found back home. This is such a bad idea, was the main thought looping through his mind as he was doing so. "Why is it so heavy?!" He complained out loud, though the only witnesses to his struggle were the wildlife. Eventually, he made it back to his house and dragged it inside and in the bathroom. From there, after a bit of struggling, he managed to place it inside the bathtub. The 'thing' was a porcelain body he had found while walking through the forest's greenery. It had been lying down there for so long, the forest was starting to claim it as their own, moss covering most of the body while it was covered in dirt, and there was even a birds nest inside the head! Of course, Bendy removed any animals that took residence inside or on the body, but that's not important right now!
What's important right now is figuring out how to clean it, after all, he did not just drag this thing from the forest into his bathroom just to use as decoration and to lose a bathtub too. He reaches over to turn the water on, letting it run under his hand to check the temperature before grabbing a rag to try and rinse off most of the dirt for now, he can get actual cleaning stuff after he lets his arms rest from the workout he ended up doing today.
As he's wiping away all the dirt and grime, he starts to see the actual colour from underneath. It looked grey? No wait- It's probably meant to be white. He's not sure he'll be able to get it back to its original colouring, the… er, doll? For lack of a better term, seems to be really old. After the rinse over, he goes and searches for some soap. Looks like I'm out-
CRACK
He looks back up at it just in time to see the head has slid just enough to break even further. Couldn't be too easy for me, huh? He breathes out a quick sigh before moving to collect what broke off, now knowing the head is removable even if he'd rather have learned in any way that didn't involve it breaking further. Thankfully, the damage seems to have just been furthering an already existing crack instead of creating a new one altogether. This time, he checks to make sure nothing can fall over before moving to another room, searching for the dish soap he keeps in the kitchen.
Unbeknownst to him, the doll's fingers twitched the moment he turned his back.
After acquiring the soap, he goes back to the tub, grabbing the head first now that it's separated from the body. He pours some soap onto his rag before he starts cleaning it, doing his best to ignore how filthy his rag has gotten and that he's 100% going to have throw it away later. When he deems it soaped up enough, he turns the water back on to run it under to clean off all the soap, doing that a few times before turning it back off and placing the head to the side so he can focus his attention on the rest of the 'Doll'.
He starts with the hands, working his way up the arms and doing his best to clean out the cracks and little spots grime loves to stick into.
After a lot, and he means a lot of time and work later the 'doll' looks… presentable, not quite good as new but a lot better than when it first was dragged in. The clothes it was wearing (If they can even be called that) are currently in a pile in the corner of the bathroom. He threw a towel over it; he'll figure out the clothing situation later. For now, though, he's going to take a well-deserved nap after everything he's done today.

It's a void, until it's not. He can feel something for the first time in ages; he doesn't even remember what he's feeling or how. He just knows he is. There's a presence. When was the last time an actual person saw him? Must have been so long ago… Wondering about the past doesn't matter right now. What matters now is the present. There's a light up ahead, that's new. He goes towards it, reaching.

Until he grabs ahold, and doesn't let go.
"Whoa…." The doll… says? Blinking open their eyes.
When their eyes finally focus, they look around the place they're in. It's a room that looks so familiar yet at the same time it's different, it feels more… bland than it used to be. They notice the towel wrapped around them and quickly realize their clothes was no longer on their body. They see them in a sad pile on the bathroom floor, after looking at it for a few seconds they decide they probably shouldn't put that back on. Clutching the towel around their body, they try and get up. Their legs wobble due to years of disuse, however they manage to make it out of the room. They may be leaning on the wall as they walk, but as long as it works it works.
They enter what used to be his room a different room, and instantly spot where the closet is. They gently open it, trying their best to be quiet for the other person in the room. They start digging through it, eventually they find a hoodie and a pair of sweat pants that look close enough to their size before putting them on. The pants stop before they're meant to, but the hoodie fits them just fine, it's a little baggy even! They leave the towel on the floor before turning towards the only other person in the house. As they go towards them, they can't help but notice how bland the whole house is now. It's so different from before, where it was so lively that the only time it was quiet was when they where all asleep. There was constant noise before, either from Elder Kettles hollering at him and his brother or from his antics, it was never a dull time in Kettle cottage. Not until now, apparently. They stop at the side of the bed, just looking down towards the only occupant of it. They frown, noticing their furrowed 'brow'. Are they having a nightmare? He wonders, before reaching over and placing a hand on them. He seems to lean into the touch, their 'brow' smoothing out as their mouth pulls up a little. While they wouldn't call it a smile, he does look happier. So, they keep their hand there for the night.
Can i just say i absolutely adore ur bendystraw stars au like such an amazing concept i am actually obsessed SO i just wanna ask how does Dandy feel about the whole bendystraw being in a relationship? And does anyone know they're just fake dating?

For the first question about Dandy, I don't know enough about him from the actual MOTM universe to give a proper answer; however, it's pretty safe to say he probably doesn't like it.
For the second question, Mugman knows and told Cuphead, "This isn't going to go how you think it will." Boris has his suspicions, but nothing has been confirmed for him. Everyone else thinks they're actually dating.

This is an AU for that blog where Cuphead and Bendy became STARs themselves, and somehow rumours start flying around about how they may be dating. In response to that they end up fake dating, figuring that after enough time passes the press will lose interest and leave them alone. (Will expand on how this happened further down)
Under the cut shall be the stuff I came up with and two small scenes I've written for this. I doubt I'll be adding more to this later, so I'm just gonna dump it all here.
Bendy is a STAR for Theatre, mostly dancing but that's not all he does and is for. Cuphead is a STAR for 'security', he helps Sonic whenever things get in that aren't supposed to, but his main role is stopping them before they can, plus some other... things. Mugman and Boris are their seconds in command. Though with all the work Mugman ends up doing, sometimes he feels like he should be counted as a STAR as well. Bendy tries to pawn off some of his work to Boris aswell, but the dude is slacking off to eat a nice sandwich.
Cuphead isn't intentionally pawning off most of his work to Mugman; he just can't read, and it's a lot of paperwork! How did he get this high without knowing how to read? Fake it until you make it, and you don't need to know how to read to shoot a gun. So, what they usually end up doing is having Mugs read out the important stuff and than transcriping Cupheads answers. (And changing them to be more workplace appropriate at times)
Now for the important part: How did Cuphead and Bendy get dragged into a dating scandal with each other? Well, Bendy ends up accidentally finding out Cuphead can't read and decides to try and teach the guy! Unfortunately for them, the media is like hawks looking for a new story to spin and once they noticed they were hanging out more often, it was over. So, the rumours start flying, and the newspapers start printing out the new (fake) story! At first, the two don't notice: Bendy is too focused on his new 'project,' and Cuphead just doesn't pay much attention to that or his reputation.
They only start noticing once they get a little out of control after spotting Bendy with a children's book and cook up the rumour of them having a child. That one grabs their attention; they need to come up with something and fast in response to that before it gets any worse. So, they decide to feed into one half while squishing the other. Pretend to date while also saying that the reason Bendy was found with a child's book was because he was reading to kids in the local orphanage. Of course, shortly after that he does actually start doing that, can't lie and not give some evidence of it when it comes to the press or else they will see right through it.
Alright folks, before you read the following scene(s) I will have to warn you that something stole Bendy's cockyness and I haven't gotten it back yet, so I apologize for him being out of character. Cuphead is out of character too, but Bendy 100% got the worst of it.
Mini Dialogue only 'scene(s)' real quick before the actual ones I've written:
"I didn't know you could sing!"
"Huh? Oh, it's just a hobby of mine. It's not like I sound as good as the people you probably work with all the time-"
"No! Honest. You sound really good, you could probably sing professionally if you wanted too!"
"Heh, if you say so"

---- Scene one
"Why are you fretting so much about this? This isn't even a real date and your job is literally acting in front of people!" Questions Cuphead from his spot on Bendy's bed, watching Bendy frantically try and pick an outfit for their fake date.
"I still want to look good! How are you so calm about this?! You don't even appear in the public eye that often!" Bendy says, finally picking out something to wear that goes with what Cuphead has already picked out an hour ago. Cuphead shrugs,
"I just don't see what the big deal is, it's just hanging out under a different name. Sure, maybe they expect us to do more than that but we don't have to,"
Everything stills as Bendy processes what Cuphead just said,
"I didn't even think of that."

They're walking down to a small Cafe, small enough for a first 'date' without getting cornered by Paparazzi due to the regulars being there. However, that doesn't mean people aren't staring at them. The entire walk inside and while placing their orders they could feel all the stares and as they sat down to wait for their orders they could hear the whispers starting.
'Oh my god, is that Bendy? And, is he on a date with Cuphead?!'
'I feel like Bendy could do better to be honest…'
'There's no way something behind the scenes isn't going on! Cuphead has to be forcing him in some way to do this,'
'Guys, chill the fuck out. Maybe they're actually happy together?-'
'Is this even legal?'
'Man shut up! This is some of the best entertainment we've had in years.'
"So~, What's something you like to do? Besides dancin' and actin' of course," Cuphead's voice cuts through the whispers, catching Bendy's attention.
"I sometimes play pranks on the others-"
"Wait. Did you do the classic water bucket over the door one to Mickey?!"
"Uh, yeah?"
"I was wondering who did that! Did you know I got blamed for that one?!"
"Oh, I take it you do the same thing then? Sorry you, uh, got blamed for it though," Cuphead waves off the apology,
"Nah, don't worry about it! Seeing Mickey like that was worth it," Cuphead continues talking for Bendy, pausing to make sure he's still interested in what he's saying and letting him cut in when he wants. At some point their drinks arrive and is sat down for them. As they drink their drinks and eat their snacks Bendy is coming to the horrible realization he wouldn't mind if this was actually real. Eventually they finish their stuff and lay the money on the table as they get up to leave. "This was fun!" Cuphead says as they leave before letting his hand move towards Bendy's for him grab between them, when Bendy grabs ahold, Cuphead starts to hum to himself as they walk back to Bendy's place.
---- Scene Two
Bendy knocked on the door to Cuphead's office, however after getting no reply he decided to try to open the door, and to his surprise, it actually worked! You'd think someone whose head of security would keep their door locked. He thought as he pushed it open, closing it behind him he looked to see… Cuphead asleep at his desk? Huh. He doesn't know what he expected, but it sure wasn't that. Moving around the mess of an office, Geez, does this guy have to clean this place up! There's just papers everywhere, and most of them are just blank?! Though as he gets closer, he notices that the 'blank' papers aren't actually blank at all. They actually have some scribbles on them, most of which are intelligible; however, some… newer ones near him seem to have a few… somewhat legible words on them! While he's not 100% sure if he should even be looking at these, he still reaches forward and grabs one of the papers, lightly tugging it from underneath Cuphead's arm. Cuphead mumbles something in his sleep, but other than that, doesn't have much of a reaction as he holds it up to his face. Written in some of the worst handwriting he's ever seen are three words- At least, he thinks it's three words?
The first one he can tell instantly is meant to be 'Cuphead', and it's the most legible one of the three, with CUP being written clearly and the letters of HEAD combining together.
Second is 'Mugman', which while less legible you can tell that's what it's meant to be from the doodle of a straight straw next to it. While the letters are also too close together, and some of them don't look right at all It's still a lot better than the last word.
The hint given for the last word is a doodle of an ink bottle, which also looks pretty rough. He can tell the second letter is meant to be an E, but other than that, he cannot really read it all that well. At least he's trying to write in his own time. Bendy thinks as he lays the page back down next to Cuphead, who, while Bendy was trying to decipher his handwriting, had rolled over to where his sleeping face is looking at Bendy. He must be a pretty heavy sleeper if he's still not awake, He thinks, before deciding he's likely overstayed his welcome and heads back to the door to leave, as he grips the handle, one thought slips by unnoticed. He looks cute while he's asleep.

As Bendy caught his breath, he looked up to what kind of a building he ran into. Praying it wasn't another library he looked around to see a small, cozy little bar. Huh, I didn't even know this was here… Lightly shaking himself to try and get some water off of his body, he went and sat at one of the bar stools. Seeing the bartenders- A Cup toon? Don't see those often, - attention on him as he sits down he places his usual order at bars, "A whiskey," The bartender lightly huffs in amusement at such a boring order before reaching for- …something else? Maybe it's someone else's order first?
….
"This isn't what I ordered,"
"We don't have any whiskey left,"
"I can see-" The bartender turns his back towards him as he grabs the bottle of whiskey from behind him, before popping it open and-… POURING IT DOWN THE SINK?!
"Like I said, we don't have any left." He responds, dropping the bottle inside the trashcan behind the bar. Bendy just stares in shock before snapping out of it, looking down at the drink he didn't order. It's bright pink, with a pink umbrella inside and a strawberry placed on the rim. He grabs it and takes a cautious sip of the beverage, fully expecting for it to be much too sweet for him. Instead, he is met with the best drink he has ever had! His tail slightly wagging from the unexpected perfectness from the drink, the bartender seems to look extremely smug about Bendy's reaction before snapping out of it and turning his attention to another customer. Bendy hums as he finishes the drink before turning to look outside to notice the rain has stopped, before he gets up he pops the strawberry in his mouth, placing a empty glass and tip on the counter as he leaves.

The next week Bendy finds himself inside the bar again. This time as he sits at the bar he actually looks around, he sees a dart board near a singular pool table in the bar, with only two cue sticks hung up on the wall behind. There's only around four or five tables, all each unable to cater more than 4 people at once. He can see another Cup headed toon serving those at the tables. a light cough grabs his attention back to the bartender who is looking at him with a raised brow. "Well, what do you want this time? Another boring whiskey?"
"Uh, no-"
"Because we're still out,"
"…I can see it behind you."
"Oh this?" The toon turns around, grabbing it before bringing it to Bendy. "This isn't whiskey. This is something else in a whiskey bottle!"
"…Why would you do that?" The bartender shrugs,
"Why not?" Is all he gets in response as the bartender starts to pour it. This time instead of pink he gets a deep-purple coloured drink, no extra things in the drink other than a circler piece of ice plopped down inside. As the bartender pushes the mystery not-whiskey drink towards him, he tries to figure out what the drink even is before he sips it. The only thing he could figure out is that it smelled fruity, just like last time. Eventually, he sighs in defeat as he tries the new drink. While not as good as the strawberry one from last week, this drink is also extremely good! It seems to be a type of raspberry-flavored wine. He hums contently as he finishes it off, however before he leaves he needs to ask-
"What's your name?" he asks as he's getting off the stool, catching the bartender slightly off-guard,
"Huh? Oh- Oh! My name is Cuphead, but you can call me whatever you want Darlin'~" He winked after the words left his mouth, watching as Bendy hurried out the door slightly faster in response, smiling to himself from the reaction as he turned back to his work before his brother could scold him for flirting with the customers again.

This time as Bendy sits down you can tell it's been a rough day for him, his tail wrapped around the stool as he mumbles some kind of order towards Cuphead, not like Cuphead could understand it with how lightly it's spoken. He grabs the bottle of Whiskey and for the first time since the place has been opened to the public, poured some in a glass before sliding it down the bar towards Bendy. Everyone who saw that where looking wide-eyed at the scene, even his brother had stopped out of shock of him actually serving that drink to someone. However, Cuphead just went back to taking the others orders and cleaning a glass instead of acknowledging everyone else around him. Bendy mumbled something unintelligible as he drank the glass, surprised as everyone else when actual whiskey hit his tongue. However as he drank he noticed there was something in the glass, at first he assumed it was just an ice cube but as he drank the glass he realized it was something else. When he finally drank it all he looked into the glass to see…
a singular strawberry at the bottom.
When he looks up at Cuphead in question of why, the Cup toon avoids eye-contact as he cleans a glass instead of looking at him. His tail unwraps from the stool to lightly swing as a small smile breaks across his face before popping the strawberry in his mouth. Just like before, the strawberry tasted amazing!~

He pulls the paper out of his pocket, reading it over now that his break has started. He ignores Bendy, who is reading over his shoulder, the best he can.
You, Cuphead, are hereby invited to King Dice and The Devil's wedding as the best man to King Dice.
You are allowed a Plus One. Pick wisely!
The Wedding is later today at 10 pm, and will be held inside the casino.
The casino will close early today at 8:00 p.m. to allow time for preparation.
Formal wear is required.
He sighs and rolls his eyes as he shoves it back in his pocket. They had already told him all this this morning; there was no reason to send him an actual invite! "Oh, I didn't know they weren't married yet!"
"Neither did the rest of the invited staff," Cuphead replies, remembering all the baffled faces from the workers who actually showed up to the meeting this morning. Bendy arrived late due to...' traffic issues' and had missed it.
"Huh," Bendy waits a few seconds before popping the question, "So who's gonna be your plus one?"
"Nobody."
"No one? You don't have anyone you'd want to go with you?"
"No. Any of the other workers would've gotten an invite anyway,"
"Well~... I didn't! So maybe I can be your plus one?~" Cuphead pauses, thinking for a few seconds before simply responding,
"Sure,"
"Wait, really?"
"Yeah. I don't know why they didn't invite you, but I see no harm in letting you join me there," Maybe you'll even make it less boring-...Where did that come from?
"When is it then?"
"Didn't you just read it? It says Tonight at 10 pm."
"TONIGHT?!"

"Alright, if you don't already have a suit, I can bring ya to my tailor. I'm sure she can make ya one in time for the wedding tonight," Cuphead says, trying to help calm down Bendy, who's panicking over his lack of any formal wear. "I'll even pay for it, so don't worry about the cost." That offer catches Bendy off guard enough for him to pause and actually think about what he's saying. After all, everyone knows how stingy Cuphead can be with his money.
"You sure? That cannot be cheap-" Cuphead waves off his worries.
"It's whatever. I know I have enough, and you're technically doing me a favor by offering to come with me in the first place."

"Pirouletta? I know it's your day off, but I need your help with something!" He calls out, dragging Bendy in from behind. He ignores Bendy's attempts at convincing him that he's not worth all this effort; he's wrong anyway. "I'll even pay ya double to get it done by tonight!" Shortly after those words leave his mouth, he sees her.
"Ah, Cuphead! What a surprise, do you need a suit for the boss's wedding tonite?" He shakes his head before pulling Bendy in front of him. Bendy gives a nervous wave and 'Hello...' while Cuphead responds.
"Nah, we both know I have plenty of suits. I'm here because Bendy needs one for the wedding."
"I didn't think they'd invite him..." She mutters; however, it was still loud enough for him to hear.
"They didn't. He's going to be my plus one," He explains, following her into the other room so she can measure Bendy better.
"Bendy, I need to stand over here and reach out your arms straight from your sides. Stay still while I wrap the measuring tape around you." While Pirouletta is measuring Bendy, correcting him at every opportunity, Cuphead turns away to look at the fabrics. While she doesn't have as many as Pip 'n Dots due to this being more of a hobby for her than an actual job, she still has a lot of choices for him to look through while he waits for them to finish. Seeing his attention being elsewhere, "Y'know, this is the first time he's ever brought me a client himself,"
"...It is?" She nods before jabbing him in the side.
"Yes. He typically tells people who ask to go to Pip 'n Dots instead. Even though I know he finds them annoying to work with." She wraps the tape a little too tightly around him this time. "You're very lucky. You're the only person he has willingly spent money on."
I am? "Straighten your back. Slouching will mess up all my measurements." She scolds, "I can tell what you're thinking, for a demon, you're embarrassingly easy to read. Be thankful Cuphead is extremely bad at reading people's emotions when they're for him." What does that even mean?- His thoughts are cut off whenever she pulls him towards her extremely roughly with the tape, and he swears her eyes start glowing, "Break his heart, and you will only know pain for the rest of your life-"
"Hey! You guys almost done in there?" Cuphead calls out from the other room, causing her to return back to normal, releasing Bendy and marking everything down on a sheet of paper.
"Yes. It should be done in a few hours. Make sure you come at least one hour before the wedding, just in case adjustments need to be made," She says, while Bendy is just standing there awkwardly trying to figure out what to do with himself. Eventually, he gets the hint from her, not that she was really hiding it, and goes towards Cuphead. Before they leave, Cuphead makes sure to leave his payment on a nearby table, waving her a good-bye as he grabs hold of Bendy's arm and heads towards the door.
"You're being awfully quiet. Did something happen while she was getting your measurements?" Cuphead asked, his voice snapping Bendy out of his thoughts,
"N-no! No, I'm just nervous about the wedding today." Bendy answers, waving his hands around as if trying to convince both of them. Eventually, Cuphead just decides to drop it. Surely, it cannot be that bad?

As they walk back into Pirouletta's place, Bendy cannot stop staring at Cuphead. He's already changed into his suit because after they pick up Bendy's, they're just gonna go straight to the wedding. Cuphead's suit is one that The Devil and King Dice had tailored for him some time ago; it's mostly black with a deep red for the trim and cuffs, with a red diamond with a golden outline over his heart. If you look even closer inside the red areas, you can see tiny specs of blue inside, fluttering about. The pants are also mostly black, but with some golden specs this time scattered around. The orderly chaos in it feels so fitting-
"What? Do...I got something on my face, Bendy?" Cuphead asks as they finally reach her place, he starts opening the door as Bendy answers.
"No!"
"Ya sure? You were staring a awful lot,"
"N-no! There's nothing on you. I was just...admiring the suit," He says, before Pirouletta appears near them.
"I've gotten the suit ready. Come this way to try it on," Is all she says before disappearing into the other room again. As soon as they enter, she grabs Bendy and hands the clothes to him before pointing him to where he needs to go in order to change.

The suit she made for Bendy, while not as much is going on in it as with Cuphead's it still looks good in its simplicity. It too is mostly black, but instead of a red trim, it's white with specks of gold inside. Over his heart is a golden club, with little specs of red inside. The pants are just plain black, with nothing else going on in them. However, there's something Bendy can't help but notice-
"Oh, cool! We're matching," Says Cuphead, looking over Bendy's new outfit, "You look good."
"Of course he does. I don't make anything that looks bad," Huffs out Pirouletta in false offense. While Bendy's face heats up in response to the compliment. Cuphead grabs ahold of Bendy as he turns out to leave,
"Thanks Pirouletta! See ya at the wedding!" He gives a small wave as they go back to the casino,

"Didn't we tell you this morning? You're not working today." Said King Dice, grabbing ahold of Cuphead's shoulder before he could get any further into the casino,
"What? You guys have never given me a day off before though?" He questions, however, after seeing how serious he looks about this, he decides to drop that line of questioning and begin a new one: "What am I even supposed to do?" That question causes King Dice to pause, trying to figure out something to give him to do. Eventually, against his better judgement, he spots Bendy lurking around and decides to use him as an answer.
"Why not ask Bendy? This was his idea after all," He lies, pointing directly at him. Which catches Bendy extremely off guard and makes him jump a little at being so bluntly acknowledged. "Well? Any ideas?" Don't make me regret this.
"Oh! Uhm... we could-" He stammers out, trying to think of something they could do with the current weather outside. Eventually, he makes a decision, "We could build a snowman!"
"A...snowman?" He questions, his head tilting a little to display his confusion. Bendy grabs ahold of his hands before asking,
"Please don't tell me you don't know what a snowman is."
His silence is enough of an answer.
Bendy immediately starts dragging Cuphead out of the Casino and towards a more open but still empty space. "Okay, so, a snowman is made of giant balls of snow packed together and placed on top of each other." He starts, gesturing with one hand towards the snow, "So, I think first we should make the bottom of the snowman as the base," He finishes, dragging Cuphead behind him while he shows him what he needs to do. For some reason, despite all the cold air, I feel warm…? But, that can't be right...

After a lot of mishaps caused by Cuphead not understanding something Bendy tells him to do, they did it! They made... a slightly sad-looking snowman. Well, they can't all be winners, huh? However, despite everything, Cuphead's lips still turn up a little at the edges as he watches Bendy with the Snowman, seeing him trying to figure out what to use as a nose as the finishing touch to it. Cuphead had accidentally found a piece of discarded fabric earlier, which he had draped over the snowman as a type of cape/cloak to go with his rocky eyes and mouth, with some sticks being stabbed into the sides that had already fallen out numerous times. Yet, despite all its flaws (and still missing nose), Cuphead feels like it's perfect.

I wonder what Cuphead would be doing if he were here... Mugman thinks as he walks around the front lawn of Kettle Cottage. "It's just so... quiet," He mumbles, as he stops pacing. He decides to try and make a snowman; maybe that'll make him feel better...?

Despite the snowman by all definitions being perfect, all the balls making up the body are the right size, his smile isn't crooked, his eyes are lined up, he has his carrot nose, his Stick arms are equal with each other, and a hat Mugman found on top of its head, it still doesn't feel right. He still feels empty; listening to the last few animals moving around isn't enough. He never thought he'd miss Cuphead's loudness, yet here he is. Wishing for nothing more than for Cuphead to appear and yell out 'Watch out!' before throwing a snowball at him. However, that's not what happens.
