"I made ChatGPT write me prompts about Artemis..." well, I went outside. Sat in a forest. Listened to the birds. Let a deer pass by. And enjoyed Lady Artemis' presence before you destroy everything.

I believe digital offerings are terribly valid offerings. Digital offerings take time and effort, that's what matters. Not everyone can give offerings in person. Not everyone lives around a supportive family. Not everyone has the money to spend on physical offerings, nor can safely put them places.
Not to mention, not everyone has the time/energy levels to do large rituals, prayers, ect.
Not one single person has the same relationship with their Theoi/Gods/Dieties/Higher Beings/ect. Don't let anyone tell you that you're not valid because you don't buy hundreds of dollars in offerings. Don't let anyone tell you you're not valid for not having a dedicated space in the physical world.
Your pinterest boards are valid.
Your minecraft altars/temples are valid.
Your devotional playlists are valid.
Your devotional blogs are valid.
Your lockscreen/homescreen devotions are valid.
You are valid.
What matters is that you're thinking about Them. Talking about them. Doing things to honor Them. Don't let others put you down for loving and appreciating your Gods.

Low Energy Devotional Activities and Ways to Connect with the Gods
Let's be honest, religion and consistent practice can be HARD, especially when you're chronically ill, disabled, mentally ill or neurodivergent. This is a list of lower energy practices you can do to connect with your Gods when you're having a rough day.
Pray. You don't have to say the prayer. You don't have to do the full cleansing and offering. Just think about the prayer. It could be as simple as "'Deity Name', thank you. I'm thinking of you and appreciate you."
Dedicate any self care you do to the Gods. You've got to take meds? awesome. it's now a devotional activity.
If you can, light a tea light candle. You can think about who you're dedicating it to as you're lighting it.
Tell them about your day. Have a simple conversation with them (again, this can be in your head if needed).
Offer some water! Water is a great offering if you donāt have the energy to cook, collect or buy something.
Incense is also a great offering because you can light it then forget about it and your house wonāt burn down (if you follow regular safety measures).Ā
Resting. Your deities want you to be okay. Dedicating your rest to your deities is especially great if you feel guilty for allowing yourself time to heal.
Turn on a video of someone reading mythos!Ā
Put on a deity playlist. There are plenty of pre-made ones on Spotify.Ā
Veil or bind your hair! Whenever Iām low energy Iāll throw my hair in a ponytail and bind it that way. It doesnāt have to be extravagant.Ā
Make a Pinterest board for them!
Post on a digital altar! There are plenty of discord servers that have digital altars and temples. You could also make a devotional Tumblr blog.Ā
Change your phone lock/home screen to something that reminds you of your Deity.
I hope this is helpful to anyone who needs it! Take care of yourself first and foremost. If you don't think you can manage something on this list then thats perfectly fine too! you're not a bad person for not being able to do something spiritual or religious. Ultimately, these things are not a necessity. Don't stress :)
PSA for non-Greek Hellenic Polytheists:
Pssst! You know you can use the Greek names of the Greek gods, right? I'm not talking about ancient Greek. I'm talking about contemporary, spoken Greek. You know the names still exist in Greek. Right....?
Not only the ancient names for figures and terms have remained exactly the same for the most part, but also they're not worse, disrespectful, or "less formal". They are literally the Greek names of the gods/heroes/creatures/terminology today.
You don't have to address these figures the way our people did more than two thousand years ago. Millions of living Greeks today still speak the names of the Greek gods. In the Greek language.
I understand that the versions you use can depend on the resources available to you. And it's fine if you only know the ancient ones, or you only want to use those. But I'd like to make you aware that you don't have to be stuck in 300 BCE linguistically.
Not even the Greek language itself is stuck in 300 BCE! In fact, by 299 BCE, our language had already slightly changed from the year prior, and it continues to do so every year for... well, for a few thousand years at this point.
Ancient names make sense when one uses them in academic contexts, in the study of ancient Greek society and religion. But this religion and culture don't exist in a vacuum inside your history books. This linguistic stagnation in everyday life, though, is part of the centuries-long Western European / American obsession with seeing the Greek culture and language like something divorced from the real world.
There's no particular justification that demands you use the ancient versions in modern informal settings. On the contrary, why not address the Greek gods in the current form of the Greek language?
So if you want to use contemporary Greek, go wild. Use -ĪµĻ ending instead of -αι. Go full iotacism. Use ĪĻιΓα not ĪĻιĻ, ĪοίĻĪµĻ not ĪοίĻαι, ΧάĻĪ· not ΧάĻιĻ, ĪάθαĻĻĪ· not ĪάθαĻĻιĻ. The differences are minuscule. And - let's be honest - you were not using ancient and modern Greek grammar (like the Greek cases, which depend on the sentence meaning) properly anyway.
I should add that using ancient Greek terms while there are contemporary ones, looks weird to a Greek. Itās somewhat like choosing to use only horses for transportation because you have not heard about cars. And, in this analogy, the Greek mind goes: but... have you not... heard of... cars... Why horses....
But, like OP said, foreigners using the ancient versions is not considered an offense. Sometimes this is what's most accessible. And of course, one can have other words for the names of the Greek gods in their language. It would be ridiculous to hold such a thing against them.
At the same time, it's good for people to know that Greek language with its names and tems is still around and happy to be of use!
āThis linguistic stagnation in everyday life, though, is part of the centuries-long Western European / American obsession with seeing the Greek culture and language like something divorced from the real world.ā
this statement and bias is something non-greek hellenic polytheists (like myself) must always keep in mind. we are far, far from interacting with a ādeadā culture. it is vibrant and deserving of our attention and respect.
this webpage i found goes through a lot of the godās modern spellings and pronunciations. anyone can let me know if thereās a more accurate resource!
