At the start of the match, Matt tried to stay vigilant on his surroundings and keep an eye on where his closest teammates were, as usual- It was so eerily quiet this time around, and no one knew who was the killer yet- not unusual, but it didn't bring any peace... Until a roar cut thru the sky, paralyzing everyone and hushing conversations.

At first, he couldnt tell what he was looking at, and neither did his companions, thinking it was Sixer for a moment, until he saw that shiny red buckethat, attached to a darkened figure emerging from the fog with that huge, deadly hammer in one hand. He heard him jump from the elevated platform, landing square on his feet with a groan and making the ground shake with his presence.

"Doombringer..."

He whispered that name absentmindedly in the middle of screams of fear and despair, everyone scattering to get in better positions and work on generators as the figure approached. Shed had to yank him from his spot so he wasn't just standing there in the middle of the field.

...

This had to be... a dirty trick form the Spectre. It had to be.

This was right after he found out Clockwork and Luke were now in the realm with them, trapped under different, mysterious circumstances. Obviously, it broke Duse's heart to see his beloved nephew in this hellhole, and the thought of him getting hurt the same way as them made him dizzy and having to force himself to focus on the tasks at hand instead of that; find a way out, sooner rather than later.

He tried to pry information from Clockwork to see if they knew anything about Doombringer back in the surface, but CW...seemed to avoid the question, apparently still in shock with the whole change of scenary. Granted, Matt didn't have to wait long to find out the answer.

Now, here's a thing. The Spectre HATES Dusekkar with a passion. It knows he knows more than he gives away and he never gives in to it's games and mental torture, always finding ways to maintain a straight face and attitude in the eye of the storm. It tried to break his spirit by bringing Luke, and that only seemed to cause a dent and encourage him to find an exit faster, but the Spectre had another surprise.

During that match where they encountered Doombringer, Matt couldn't stop shaking and breathing heavily as he ran somewhere elevated. There's no way that's Doom, HIS Doom, the loving, charismatic and kind man he knew. This monster is not his beloved, just like the red kid is a twisted mirror of what she used to be in the eyes of her father...But soon enough, he went up the stairs of the mountain and looked down. The match has been going on for a while, and a few were downed, but he couldnt see the killer anywhere.

Heavy steps caught him off guard, and when he turned...

(I plan to do a comic on this entire interaction, so i'll shorten it up for now :] )

Doom looked so...different, but his mind, even though twisted and clearly stained and affected by the darkness within this realm, seemed to be sane enough to recognize him, and speak to him, approaching him carefully.

He expressed his intentions and reasoning behind his actions, his hate towards Builderman and Shed, how they ABANDONED them, how after they left* and Duse was taken the Spectre offered him an opportunity he couldn't pass; the chance to bring proper justice to all of Robloxia and punishment to them, and everyone down in this realm as they're just as guilty, everyone down here is guilty of something, even Matt!

But Doom...forgave him. He knows Matt better than anyone, even better than Shed, to some extent.

He knows Matt meant well, he just wanted to help bring back his best friend and hopefully fix everything together, even if it sent him to hell in the process, And just seeing him suffer for the actions of who he considers the biggest sinners in this realm, be manipulated* by them, it sends him into a frenzy, and it breaks his heart- what's left of his heart. He just loves Matt that much... and Matt loves him back.

And it hurts for both, it hurts so fucking much...

Doom tells him he has an offer for him. Leave the others and join him on the other side, finish what they started up there in Robloxia and find a way out of here faster and more effective than whatever he could achieve on the survivors side. And for them to be together, make up for all that time they spent fighting over different opinions and points of view, and after Matt disappeared.

Matt's spirits waver, his mind cracks only so slightly, the dent goes deeper and deeper... and for a moment, he seriously considers it.

He's admitedly so tired.

But even if...Doom's words cut deep and hold some truth, he tries to keep it together. If he can't bring the others with him- SPECIALLY Luke, then he won't go. It hurts to say it, but he stands his ground despite it all.

Surprisingly, Doom doesn't get angry nor screams nor pushes him off the ledge of the mountain out of spite, but instead squints at him behind that dark visor, and takes a step forward. His hand is so warm against his pumpkin head.

Think about it.

And it's almost like he'll lean in for a kiss, if it wasnt for Twotime backstabbing him, in an attempt to protect uh, a fellow Spawnist- or whatever fascination they have for Matt...

Matt takes the opportunity to jump off and safely land to run away as far as he can, as Doombringer goes after the cultist. They don't last long.

The match ends after 15 more minutes, of running, screaming, slashing, blocking, shooting...

...

...And Matt honestly doesn't know how to feel.

Builderman and Shed try to get thru him- specially Shed since he's the one that knew about his...thing, with Doom back in Robloxia, but Matt refuses to talk to them, simply walking back to his room in the bigger cabin.
