henry in the second movie talks like he has isolated himself for a long time. He talks in a way that seems like his only interaction with the outside world is from rewatching tv shows and movies from the 50’s.

Henry probably doesn’t go outside much other than doing the essential errands. Maybe mike was the first person he’s had in his home for years.

Henry’s probably become a shut in. I don’t think it happened immediately after charlotte’s death, but it could’ve slowly started happening along years.

#i reaaaaaaaallly like thinking about how none of the characters are feasibly that far from eachother.#specifically like how vanessa william and henry are working in the same orbit #they very well could feasibly run into eachother all the time but they work extremely hard to resist and avoid eachother #and least for vanesssa and henry. they certainly don't want to run into william at the store.

actually i think there's something to be said about vanessa and control.

she is so... reserved. she keeps such a tight grip on herself and her behavior. she's polite, pleasant, and keeps herself within the realm of social convention and has no meaningful human connections to show for it.

in a way, it reminds me of william? (though the behavior stems from drastically different places) the careful, constructed presence and distance from others. i wonder if he sees that behavior in vanessa and feels pride.

Vanessa and Michael would be so fucking childish when they fight. Mostly because they just know each other so well, they can piss the other off like no other. 10x worse when they were younger but even as adults they can't disagree in a civil way because they suck.
