Billy X Maeve - Arcade Date!

This little fic is after Billy invites Maeve out to the arcade! Just before he actually asks her out on a date and before either of them meet Seth!
As they entered the arcade, one thing instantly caught her eye. Someone was carrying out a bangboo plushie, and it was so…CUTE! Turning to her cyborg companion, Maeve felt a wave of excitement as she grabbed him by the sleeve of his red leather jacket and shook him excitedly.
“Whoa, whoa, whoa, Manager! What’s on fire?!” Billy exclaimed, though there was amusement in his voice as he looked down at the short, colorful-haired woman.
“Billy, look!” She grinned, pulling him hard into her side before pointing to the person at the prize table holding the bangboo plushie, “We have to find out where those come from!”
Blinking the glowing eyes of his mask rapidly, the cyborg looked between the plushie and Maeve. He paused when he caught sight of the pure excitement in her golden speckled green eyes. Her excitement was adorable and infectious. A chuckle bubbled up in his chest, and he shook his head slightly. He had been the one to invite her out after all, so it would only be right if he won her an awesome prize!
“Hell yeah, let's go!” As he spoke, he hadn’t expected Maeve to grab his hand without a second thought and start to drag him through the arcade. He thought to himself that maybe he should have been watching where they were going. There were game machines and people around that they could bump into, but he was too enamoured by the woman pulling him. Her smile was bright, and she was looking around excitedly, pointing to other games along the way as they searched for the bangboo plushies.
“Oh, we could try that one later too, OH, and that one! I remember that the snake game is supposed to be really fun!” She was rambling on, keeping a firm grip on his hand.
So focused on finding those plushies, she barely registered her surroundings until she heard a loud thump behind her. Losing her balance, she stumbled around, still holding onto Billy’s hand as she noticed him planted face-first into one of the machines. She blinked wildly when she saw him, as she suddenly let out a snort of laughter and her free hand slapped over her mouth to contain it.
“Oh my god, Billy! Are you okay?” she asked, cheeks flushed from laughing.
With a wobbly thumbs up, the cyborg shook off the impact of his collision with the machine. Shaking his head to get the ringing to stop while running his free hand through his hair, “Y-Yeah, I’m good!”
He stared at the woman, still holding his hand, raising his eyes over her head when he noticed the flashing neon lights on a row of claw machines. “Hey! Look, there they are!”
Dropping her hand from her mouth, Maeve quickly yanked Billy over towards the row of machines with renewed strength and a bright smile. Once they reached a machine, she dropped his hand and pressed both of hers against the glass to lean close so she could see the plushies inside. She was practically vibrating in excitement when she looked over her shoulder at Billy with bright eyes, “Who should go first?!”
“Manager, I got this, don't worry about it! I got mad skills.” He wasn’t lacking confidence, that was for sure, as he was certain he could do this. He had to do this. If he didn’t win her a plushie, then he wouldn’t see that wonderful smile aimed his way again.
She gave him an amused look, arching an eyebrow at this response as she giggled, watching him jab his thumb into his chest. “Alright, hotshot, show me what you got~”
“Heh…You got it, one plushie coming up!”
Flexing his robotic fingers, Billy stepped up to the claw machine, and Maeve started putting in the tokens she had bought earlier. The cyborg leaned in close, mask almost pressing against the glass. Yeah, he had this.
Maneuvering the claw around, he was about to go for one that looked like an avocado when an arm was thrown around his shoulders, throwing him slightly off balance. He was pulled close into Maeve’s side once again as he looked down at her, his circuits slightly misfiring.
“That one! The one that looks like a magical girl!” Pointing with both hands towards the one she wanted, she was close enough to the glass that her chest pressed against it. The sight brought a blush to Billy’s face as he tried to look away. Wow. Okay, yeah, he really had to win this.
Nodding his head, he was still squished against Maeve as he maneuvered the claw once again. He wanted to get it first try. He wanted to impress her. Hand nervously shaking as he moved the lever, he squinted his one eye slightly to try to be more exact. Please let this work.
Pressing the button, he was painfully still compared to the bouncy woman beside him. Her small body pressed him more against the glass than he already was. How was she this strong?
The claw went down, and he could feel himself tense when it wrapped around the white magical girl bangboo that Maeve desperately wanted. Watching as the claw slowly pulled the plushie out of the pile, and maneuvered over to the prize dispenser. He flinched a little when the plushie shook and slipped just the tiniest bit, but then sagged in relief when the bangboo fell into the prize slot..
A squeal of joy came from beside him as Maeve clapped her hands together excitedly. He let out a sigh of relief before giving a hoot of victory as he reached down to grab the plushie. “Hell yeah, Manager, did you see that?! First try! I told you I had this in the bag!” Turning towards her, his confidence turned to instant embarrassment, as he rubbed the back of his head with his free hand before holding the plushie out, “For the lady~”
Giggling, Maeve’s bright grin softened as she took the bangboo. As she looked up at him, he could swear she almost looked a little shy, “You know, Billy, you can call me Evie…if you want. You don’t have to be so..formal.”
This took him back a bit; he was so used to calling her Manager or Proxy. But here she was looking so cute, telling him that he could call her such an adorable nickname. Her eyes glistening with excitement…her smile…well, he was too enthralled by it. His face felt very hot at this moment, and he coughed slightly into his hand to clear his throat.
“U-Uh, right okay! Evie, it is then!”
Her soft smile grew at that, and she nodded her head, holding her new bangboo plush close to her chest, “Right! So how about a game of snakes?”
