why was the backrooms movie lowkey symbolism for addiction? like clark describing being in the backrooms as welcoming and how he didn’t want to change. sounds like the rooms was like place he’d go to when he was using and he always liked that feeling of surrealism. obviously not a real place but something mentally. and how he brought kat and bobby into the situation and they ended up dying shows an addict being reckless towards others and ending up harming them. same with his therapist, mary. idk i just hey heavy feelings that this could be told like that because of clark being an addict. i might be overthinking this john.
