Michael B. Jordan Plays With Puppies While Answering Fan Questions
mariannewinstonâ
âiâm not sure if i love or hate it yet,â she admitted but she knew she hadnât been there long enough. part of her was unsure if she wanted to be there long enough to figure it out. either way she would stay as long as she was needed. she was shrugging as she glanced around the diner and then back at him,â i have run into that situation a few times.â of course she knew that it was the same for everyone. a laugh came from her and she was nodding,â i think we all fall into that trap.â she was going to take a few more bites of her piece of pie. if only to give herself a few moments to think. she was shrugging at his question since she wasnât entirely sure what she had expected,â honestly? i figured that this wouldnât seem so normal,â she admitted,â i mean save for the bikers and everything, this is just like any other place iâd assume but not everything is what it seems is it?âÂ
âwe all do.â he agreed, choking back a laugh as he smiled. heâd say he was bored of the whole same shit different day thing he had going on, but he couldnât. it was more a routine he had slotted into at this point and call it a habit he had to keep himself sane. itâs the early morning jogs, the daily walks heâd take his three dogs on before he went to rendezvous to work. it was those he was most himself, even despite pretending to be someone else for years. as he listens, he watches her--- itâs for a moment he takes the time to admire her beauty before he throws his attention back onto his food. âyeah, got that right.â that nothing is ever as it seems. âyouâll find out soon enough, but.. anyway,â heâs now completely changing the subject, ânameâs mickey,â he figures to actually introduce himself, hand extending above the table for her to shake if she so wished.
nonsparklyedâ
If he could tell him that there were leads, that they were being able to narrow down the list of suspects, he would be feeling so much better, because it would mean that they were going somewhere, but sadly, that wasnât the case, âJust a list of suspects, I think that this may have been someone from a new gang,â he remembered that some of them visited the city, and the shooting happened, so why wouldnât they try to kill them again? âBut itâs not really something that I can prove, and just a theory,â his voice was low, so the other was the only one that could hear, if someone else did, wouldnât only be bad for Eddie, but for the other too, since he was an undercover cop, and people could suspect. Why else would a cop be telling him that?
âYou think?â his voice is intentionally lower, just so no one could actually hear them. He hadnât heard of another gang, but it was always possible. For him, he figured people wouldnât be that stupid--- he also kind of believed that whoever committed the murders was actually someone they would all know. Had it be. It was a purposely targeted event. However, rivalry gangs coming in and causing chaos wasnât something to be ruled out--- especially when it had already happened. âHowâd you think youâd prove it?â his theory that was. If it was a thought heâd offer to the force, then he needed solid evidence to back that up, right? The last thing Mickey would want would be Edward hitting a sorry end for pushing too hard.
wickederisâ
A relaxed smile eased onto her lips because she truly liked the easiness that Mickey brought to every situation. It was a calculated risk taking him on this run and exposing a new face to the people that he was about to meet. Sure they werenât really anyone important and the amount of product was not significant compared to their usual haul, but change wasnât always appreciated around those who lived off of paranoia. His questions proved that he wasnât just merely along for the ride, making her detail out every single piece of the plan. That the wheels were turning and that this was just as important to him if she hadnât been there to lead the way. That same potential that had her ready to throw him into the mix and why he was there now.Â
âOh you wonât be in the background. All eyes will be on you.â Scoffing because he had the right idea but everyone would be wary of the newcomer. âYou have nothing to worry about though. Should be a fairly quick exchange. Weâll walk in, the boys love to have a bit of small talk but Iâm guessing today it will be geared towards you so expect some hostility. Itâs not you particularly, itâs that they donât know you.â Paying attention again to the road as she navigated the intricate series of turns they were now making as they neared the warehouse. âThen weâll get what we came for. Shouldnât be too hard, just routine. Itâs more to introduce you to the twins.â Pulling in now to the building she had been looking for and right up to the big loading dock. âYou ready?â
.
âAlright then.â he nods, kind of expecting the attention to be on him. Newbie and all. He wasnât nervous because of that thought, no, Mickey had a knack for remaining utterly calm and poised in no matter the situation he was in. So at least that was something. The last thing he wanted was for the eyes that would be on him to suddenly suspect something was up--- or wrong, or dodgy, as if so, in turn that meant this little outing would be the first and also the last time. Which was something he wanted to avoid. âDo they know Iâm tagging along or will it be known when I walk in?â he asked, not because he was bothered but mainly to know where he stood, he figured they did and by the sounds of it, with him bracing himself for hostility they were not exactly trusting of new faces.Â
âSeems simple enough,â and sure he knew that was also easier said than done, but on paper it appeared to be straight forward enough. Looking out the windscreen he sees the warehouse as they approach, heâs guessing that with how out the way it was and large, the drops usually happened here. So that was something. âReady as Iâll ever be,â he offers her half a smirk, âYou ready for me to take centre stage?â heâs messing, joking around, relating back to how she wasnât the one standing there looking pretty today; it was gonna be him. He now waits for her to make the move before he does, of course here to follow her directions.

ânot exactly. i wasnât kiddinâ about the reconstructed rib-cage,â he gave a small chuckle and a shrug. âi got injured, uhâ badly,â rib-cage aside. âand i wasnât fit for duty anymore, not that i wanted to go back after that. i was honourably discharged. ten years ago now,â he blinked a little when he realised thatâs how long it had been. sometimes it still felt like yesterday. âsomeone knew what they were doinâ though, huh? got all our spikes up, itâs like waiting for the first man to yell.â because they both knew, it only took one member from either side to spin them all out into a bloody fight. âitâs just shit. who wants a war? i know i donât. leave me in peace, yâknow? iâm old and tired,â he half scoffed, half laughed, tipping back his drink before topping them both up. âyouâll never find light at the end of something that started with darkness. old friend once told me that. beginninâ to think he was onto something.â
âshit man,â he winced his features briefly; truth was he thought he was just fucking around earlier. apparently not. he wasnât about to start questioning him on why or how he got injured, he knew not to. it wasnât because it was cain, it was out of respect. âever miss it? or does the mc scratch that itch?â he knew of some people that could never sit still once they came home, it was hard to transition to normal after fighting wars for months or years on end. âyeah some fuckin tool somewhere is laughing at us all.â thatâs what he thought, anyway. everyone knew how it looked and it was a case of sitting ducks. waiting for whatever the hell to happen next. he choked back a laugh, shaking his head a touch, âyou and me both.â last thing he wanted was to be in a visibly divided town with everyone at each others throats, give him-- them, a break, right? âyou friends with some deep fuckers, man,â he chuckled, before deliberating, âcanât say heâs wrong though.â

âpart of the small town life right?â she asked, knowing it was true. she let out a laugh since she knew he made a good point. marianne had moved around a lot ever since she was a child. granted now that she was adult and a detective to boot she had control of her own life. that was what had led her to charming. she was still unsure about the whole situation in the town but she was doing her best to figure it the hell out,â a change of scenery that led you here?â she figured that most people either blew through charming or didnât actually know it existed. she was nodding since she figured that it was best to tell the truth,â work,â she admitted,â and itâs not like i had anything keeping me where i was so i figured why not move?â she was going to take a small bite of her pie and stared at him for a moment,â though this place is not at all what i expected, itâs very..colorful.âÂ
âfor sure.â he half smirked, âyouâll either love it or hate it.â he for one was in the middle. he could say he hated the life a small town brought but at the end of the day, it helped his job. âyeah, change of scenery--- you know when you canât keep on doing the same shit everyday?â he chokes back a laugh, âcharming was a scapegoat yet, iâm now doing the same shit,â he twirls his index, âevery damn day.â his toneâs light-hearted, heâs making a joke out of himself but showing he doesnât care. life was too short right? heâs still listening as he takes his attention off of her, gaze dropping more on his food before he takes a swig of his drink. âcolourfulâs one word for it, whatâd you expect then? bunch of oldies moaning about the weather?â he cocks a brow, clearly teasing.

âdo you?â she shrugged. âyou said it was something you needed at the time⌠but what drives someone to become a whole new person?â she was asking him what happened to him, in so many words. figuring it had to be something that triggered that lack of care for how he could end up shot and in a shallow grave. if theyâd learned anything today it was that things like this always find a way of coming to light. sheâd hate for the last thing he sees to be the barrel of a gun. âwhy not? most others would.â she scoffed. slightly pessimistic which was maybe a bit of a surprise considering how much she came across like a people person. âif i see it any other way iâd have turned into a certified whack job by now.â harley shrugged, dropping her head onto her knees and sighing quietly. she could feel herself already considerably calmer, not happier, but calmer. âi think youâve been a cheap bastard, you have a whole other pay packet i didnât know about. whatâs a couple bucks to you?â she was teasing, even managing a lopsided smile before clasping her hands together. âwhat now then?â
âlife fucked me over.â he figured she would get that---- considering her own past, sure, he knew hers, but she didnât know his but his answer was enough to tell her that there was more to it. he wouldnât let on too much, not because it was some big secret, it wasnât, it was because whilst he had more or less become a different person--- like she had said, he wasnât exactly someone who had dealt with the shit that had gone down. it was heart breaking and it was the reason why he drank more than he should have done. his increased alcohol intake had started way before charming. it was something that was always commented on every time he had to do a surprise check up at the hospital, though his excuse was him fitting in. which, wasnât entirely far fetched for a town full of alcoholics. ânot that kinda person.â he offered, more because she was questioning him not screwing her over to save himself. harley was decent, he knew that. she didnât deserve what had happened to her--- and she sure as hell didnât deserve for more shit to be dropped before her. âmy mom has my other pay packet, so..â he lifts his hands, âcheap bastard for a reason.â he choked back a chuckle, countering that as more of a joke. âwhat happens now is i get you out of here and you go home, sound good?âÂ

michaelbjordan: âOur Hair is Magic ⨠@avaâ
location: two hours outside charming with: @mickeymontgomeryâ status: closed
It had been a quiet couple of hours on the road, the only saving grace being the radio playing soft oldies because she didnât have enough effort in her to actually find a playlist that would suit both of their tastes. Theyâd taken her Jeep because today wasnât a huge hual and the windows were down, sunglasses on, and the wind in her hair was improving her mood but the closer they got the more tense she got. Bringing someone knew with her was not the plan but after Katrina being one of the people whoâd go on these runs with her, she wasnât about to do it alone. Mickey had been an obvious choice because of his eagerness to help out no questions asked. Not that she didnât mind answering them but he was starting to grow on her and thus why she picked him. If he wanted to be more involved then what better than this, really getting involved.
âSo, there are a few things you need to know before we roll up.â Reaching to turn down the dial on the radio and glancing over at the man beside her. âYou can bring you gun in because theyâd be stupid to think we arenât armed.â Knowing damn well there was about to be more firepower in the building than she preferred but people liked pretending they would be safe. âJust donât touch it. The moment you reach for it so will they and for now weâve got a pretty good relationship.â If you could call their exchange that. âYour job is to just load shit into the back and try not to draw attention to yourself. Any questions?â
For someone who likes conversation, he was starting to get used to the silences he found when he was around Eris and actually being comfortable in them. Which, was a saving grace for all. He figured for her mostly because that was her normal, but also for him because he wasnât trying to create drab small talk. Though usually he tended to speak about something that he thought interested her. Radio on heâs definitely joined in on a select number of songs that played-- mostly because it was a more natural reaction for him, a song he knew? Or heard of? Heâs humming along. Itâs also a hinter that he was content.Â
Once she turned the dial down he turns his head to look at her, giving a little nod at being told to bring his firearm in. He assumed that was a given but it just solidified knowing how they as a group did things. âAlright so no touching until you give the go ahead?â she was his boss after all and going on a run with her was new. He was happy to stand back and observe--- help if needed, do as she needed him to do, of course, but the part of him that was here taking notes? Was more than happy to watch. Heâs already kept an eye on how long it was taking them to get there--- and where it was going to be. Itâs a location to be aware of. He nods again, clearly understanding, âSo stay in the background and make you look pretty?â he was joking, itâs an attempt to ease the atmosphere. âAny signals I need to know or is it all straight forward?â
nicolette-morelloâ
It was the way he looked at her that had caused her to take a half a step backwards retreating to her âcornerâ. She wanted to keep pushing. Her gut told her to keep pushing - and her gut had never proved her wrong before but so many other feelings where occurring inside of her. She bit them back long enough to shake her head. âMickey,â She whispered softly her voice raspy. âYou were there when nobody else was. I want to think you arenât trying to pull the wool over my eyes but somethingâŚ.â She paused shaking her head. âSomething is telling me that something isnât right.âÂ
Not with him. Not with this situation. None of it was good. She closed the space between them so that her body was close and reached out for his hand but not because she wanted to hold it but because she wanted to feel his pulse why he lied to her.Â
âAre you working with the Devils.â
.
To say heâs confused is an understatement--- all of this? From his point of view was plucked out of nowhere. She was what? Thinking he was deceiving her because he hadnât reacted a certain why towards Katrinaâs murder? Thatâs how he was judging her sudden accusation anyway. Sure him actually being someone with a hidden agenda rang true, but was it apparently that obvious when there were other members reacting the same way as he was? He didnât think so. He began to feel more conscious of his own actions and the way he was coming across and he wasnât shifty, he wasnât sweating, he wasnât sat there visibly upset for either party. Maybe that was why? Perhaps he only had himself to blame for that---- sue him for being built to sustain emotions in a way he wasnât easy to read.
His brow arches, more at her now taking a step forward after only just backing away from him. Sheâs holding his hand and he doesnât pull away, purely because he wasnât going to stand there and give her another apparent reason to completely look at him in a different light. Are you working with the Devils. Thereâs a pause on his part, his brows knit together as heâs looking down at her, wondering if she was actually being serious and when he realises she is, he shakes his head faintly. âNo?â his answer is genuine because itâs true. âIs that what you think?â heâs also wondering how the hell she had come up with that conclusion, because itâs not something he gets. âYou think Iâm working with them.. why?â he asking her to explain, thatâs if she would-- considering she already was tainting him with a different light.
nonsparklyedâ
It wasnât the first time that he heard something like that, the majority seemed to think that to be a good cop, you have to care about others. In a way he saw what they meant, and usually he thought the same, but there were some that thought that it would only make you think with your heart not with your head, but they werenât right. Despite how soft he was, he didnât let that stop him from doing his job right, âI guess you have a good point, itâs what I think most of the time too, that it just means I will work extra hard to protect others,â he was just human though, so he had a lot of insecurities, more than most people did, so there were times that he doubted himself, âI donât think so, the list of suspects, is still pretty big, but weâre working our butts off, to find whoever did this, and I believe in the station, I know weâre capable enough to find them.â
âYeah Iâm sure you are..â working their butts off that was, it was protocol after all. Despite dealing with murders himself since, each and every time one occurred he was always reminded of his fiancĂŠe. Sheâs the reason why heâs more reserved, as well as someone with a very good handle on their emotions. Not that it was public knowledge. Or should we say Charmingâs public knowledge. âGood. Got any leads yet or just a long list of suspects?â like he had said. He figured they didnât, especially if they hadnât narrowed it down yet. It was also something youâd read in the local newspaper, they always gave daily updates--- though he rarely bought a paper, he usually just used the app on his phone. It was easier.

it wasnât that nellie didnât appreciate mickeyâs concern for her wellbeing, of course she did. knowing that she had people around that looked out for her was reassuring, but when his way of checking up on her involved the use of the word kid, she couldnât help the roll of her eyes that was practically a reflex at this point. â seriously, iâm twenty-five. are you ever gonna stop calling me that or do i have to file for some sort of emancipation for that to happen ? â of course she was only joking, but the expression on her features said otherwise. â iâm fine. really, i am. i mean, watching my back a little more than i normally would, but iâd say thatâs a good thing, wouldnât you ? â shoulders shrugged, as if this whole situation didnât affect her at all. â your turn. â
âalright... alright..â heâs putting his hands up in a little form of defence as he laughed briefly, calling her kid was more habit and this point--- granted, one he was met with that same face each and every time he did, but still, it was easy to say yeah yeah iâll stop than actually doing it. maybe next time, huh? âsure,â he nods, âmight be a good thing but not something you should be doinâ.â that was his view anyway. nellie--- or in fact anyone, shouldnât have to make that effort to look over their shoulder. he was, however, noticing just how unfazed she was by the whole situation, it wasnât alarming but it caused his brow to arch. âiâm fine--- just waiting for someone to act out.â meaning he wouldnât be surprised if some of the wolves and the mc went at it. âyou got an alibi, though? in case the cops come round?â heâs not saying sheâll be a crime suspect, far from it, he just wants to know someone would back her up.
caincarterxâ
ânot anymore,â an army guy, that was. a solider. morals, restraint, the will to survive. âthe fall from grace is a harsh one.â he adds, a quiet chuckle sounding in his throat as his attention remains on the dogs, who he knew would happily let him sit here stroking them for hours. âhell yeah, she was awesome. scrappy little thing, not sure my mother loved her like i did but iâm sure my sister had something to do with stoppinâ her shipping the dog straight back to me.â breaking into a light laugh, he gives the dogs a last ruffle on their heads before getting back up on his feet. thereâs a small little wheeze and an arm that wraps around his ribs that were probably already bruising. âtense.â cain sighed miserably. âyeah⌠he was. he didnât deserve to go out like that.â pausing to shot back his whiskey, he took to refilling it almost instantly. âsorry about katrina too, man.â he was sincere, he didnât wish murder on anyone. just because she was a wolf didnât mean she deserved it & just because mickey was one didnât mean he wasnât going to be civil and sympathetic for his loss. âheadinâ up shits creak, ainât we? if thatâs not an excuse to drink, i donât know what is.âÂ
âno? leave by choice then?â he asked. itâs merely making that small talk--- of course heâs curious but heâs not nosy. whilst he had to stick himself in a certain number of scenarios for his job, outside of that he wasnât really the type to do so. which, was laughable considering how much he literally contradicted himself in this town. well, more mentally anyway. âleast she had a good life.â the doggo, that was, or the end of it. as cain got up both of the dogs he was fussing looked up for more and once they realised he was sitting on his stool for good, they soon settled, sitting and then laying with a little sigh. ânah, no one does.â deserve to go out the way both martin and katrina did. period. the way some people had no care for human life was terrifying. he faintly smiles, he knew he was being sincere. knocking back the last of his whiskey, heâs soon following suit and refilling. nodding his head a touch, heâs in agreement, shit really was hitting the fan. âmakes you wonder whoâs tryinâ to cause the rift.â itâs more a thought spoken out loud, itâs the conclusion heâs come to at least. someone was trying to cause trouble, it was just the question of who.Â
