WHY’D YALL LEAVE OUT THE BEST ONE?

Can’t forget this gem.

I did a lot this year… but by far my favorite was the music video for The Fighter. Maria is such an incredible and amazing artist. Getting to work with her so often on so many incredible projects is always going to become some of my career favorites…. but this was something entirely different for me. This was my first music video… and a first of anything is always a special thing, but this one means so much more to me. I was fortunate to shoot such an incredibly powerful song sung by an incredibly powerful voice… and for her to trust me to capture it properly and for her to go above and beyond in her emotional performance of this song… it gives me goosebumps every time I hear or view it. Keeping it simple with just her and the lens… like she’s right there singing to you. The words… the lyrics are so inspirational, meaningful, and important. I am so proud of what we created together. I know every time we cross paths whatever we create together will be incredible (it would be impossible not to be, since everything she does is pretty amazing) but it will be difficult to ever top this. So of everything I’ve done over the last 12 months… this video, with out a doubt, is my favorite and what I am most proud of.
