The first two were amazing beautiful horror masterpieces and part three was solid, however the rest should've never happened.
So glad this show is finally on HULU!

This is what I'm saying. Republicans are demanding Weinstein be condemned in the strongest terms but still stand behind a man for president who bragged about grabbing women by the pussy. Please look up the word FUCKING HYPOCRITE! Hell, they demanded impeachment of Clinton over a consensual, albeit immoral, blowjob.

This is sadly true. I just have a hard time wrapping my head around WHY it's so true though.
The Strangers Could Be Horror's Next Big Franchise
I always hear people say it after every release of a new Halloween, Nightmare on Elm Street, Friday the 13th, whatever film. It doesn't matter if it's a new sequel or a remake, albeit a remake draws the response in tenfold.
"Doesn't Hollywood have any new ideas?"
The answer is yes. Now I could start a conversation that could last for days on that topic, and as a writer myself I have opinions on both sides of this topic. But let's just stick to The Strangers right now. There's currently only ONE film, not 7, not 12, not even 5. ONE, with part 2 releasing in March 2018.
I really believe The Strangers can become the next big horror franchise in the mold of Saw, Friday the 13th, Nightmare on Elm Street, Halloween, Child's Play, and more. As a writer myself I see so much potential in this series it makes me salivate. I don't want to say too much, but at the end of the original a big bomb was dropped that I don't really think many people noticed or if they did, I don't think they realized how big that bomb really could be. I'll say this about it: I've seen a good number of complaints saying we don't know anything about the killers. What fucking movie did you watch? Not the same one as me apparently because I learned something really big and important about these three maniacs that paves the way for some very compelling horror storytelling as the series progresses, and (hint hint) could even lead to new killers in the series!
So yes, the short answer is that there are new ideas out there. Great horror films become a franchise, and while I am all for the everlasting return of Jason, Freddy, Chucky, and such, I do believe in establishing new icons for new generations.

This is truly amazing...
Strangers: Prey at Night officially hits theatres March 9, 2018. I have been waiting TEN YEARS for this film and it's finally almost here. I have spearheaded the campaign to make this happen. I truly feel partly responsible for it finally getting made. I am so happy right now.
It's a ☔ fall day here in Youngstown, Ohio.

Ranking the Seven Child's Play Films
7. Seed of Chucky - This film was awful. The only saving grace was a few chuckles and some over the top gore. This is a fun film if you're into extreme satire, and it has it's place, however this wasn't it.
6. Bride of Chucky - Much more entertaining than Seed, but basically the same thing, not to mention how badly this film fucked with the Child's Play lore.
5. Cult of Chucky - It was a solid film although parts of it dipped dangerously close to Bride and Seed territory. Still a great film and miles better than the forementioned two films, but Mancini is treading dangerous waters again.
4. Child's Play 3 - Awesome film. Classic Chucky. Not on par with the first two but at least it sticks to the winning formula.
3. Curse of Chucky - Amazing film that completely saved the franchise from what I thought was certain death. Easily one of the darkest films in the series as well and sets up another nemesis for Chucky on par with Andy, who is a must in a true Chucky film.
2. Child's Play 2 - Brilliant! Dark with just the right touch of comedy. This is what sets Child's Play above Nightmare on Elm Street.
1. Child's Play - There is a reason it's called a classic. Stick to this basic formula and Chucky can live forever.
It's true. Time will march on for as long as it's able, and after that, who knows. I honestly would not be surprised if it repeats itself.
