But then Will decides to keep it calm and not assume that Mike is into him just because he's gay and out to them now and instead Will just wants to be a good friend, supporting his best friend who went though the same struggles as Will did and who can probably also really relate to Will in a way their other friends can't.

And Will tries to keep it chill, he really does and their dynamic doesn't even really change. Like from the outside they still act the same way they did before, but now it's different for Will because he realizes that Mike keeps flirting with him and Will keeps flirting back and usually he'd just brush it off because that's just how they talk to each other. But Mike is gay. And Will can't stop thinking about that every time Mike laughs at Will's jokes that weren't even that funny or every time their shoulders brush or their knees touch as they're sitting next to each other and every time Mike's voice gets really soft when he talks to Will and he keeps looking at Will's lips-

It takes them maybe a week before they kiss and then they immediately start fully making out on the couch of Will's apartment and it feels so right, like they were always supposed to be doing this one day and it just needed some time and a quiet moment to finally happen. They both just needed time to figure themselves out and sadly it happened separately, but now they both know and they know about each other and they're both here and that's really all they needed to finally find each other and get together <333
