It was time to move on, and the three of them knew it. Halifax had been full of it’s ups and downs for Micah, Austin and Piper, and it was going to be hard for them to leave, but they had to. Things in Canada were growing more and more chaotic with each passing day, and both worried that soon enough the CFST would make their way into the country. They had to leave, and fast. So they decided to go to Australia, where Micah and Piper’s relatives still lived. Both of the Peters wanted to be part of a family again. Austin of course was coming too, as it wasn’t going to be safe for him in Canada either soon enough, and the Peters were the only family that he had. Micah had tried to convince Piper to stay, at least until she finished her degree at Dalhousie, but there was no way she was going to stay behind while her brother and Austin left. So they made their plans, Piper applied to a different school in Australia so she could transfer her credits, while Austin and Micah promoted a pair of their assistants to keep an eye over the recording studio. They planned to start a second studio in Australia. And now the day was finally here. Their last day in Halifax. It was time to say goodbye, and take the next step of their lives. 

It was best friend date night for Micah and Beth, at least it was supposed to be. He was leaving soon with Piper so they had been planning to be spending one of his last nights in Halifax together, for one last time. It was bitter sweet, but they always had a good time together and he knew that wouldn’t change even when he was halfway around the world. He made his way to her place to meet her, but as he walked up to the door, Micah just felt like something was wrong. He didn’t bother knocking, he walked straight inside. What he saw...well there was no way he could have expected that. There she was, lying on the floor... “Beth, shit.” He cursed, rushing over to her. “Beth, wake up. Can you hear me?!”
