Steddie as part of the filmmaking industry.
Eddie is known as the insufferable sound guy. He usually manages the mixer, headphones never leaving his head, tangling constantly on is curls. Even when he's a pain in the ass when the camera starts rolling he keeps getting calls thanks to his attention to detail.
He got into the industry after constantly hearing stories of the sets from Wayne, who as the best boy gaffer had the chance to be in all departments.
Both him and Wayne always believed he would end up doing the same until Eddie fell in love with the sound department one late night he sneaked into a sound cabin.
Eddie quickly got into the trade and Wayne easily found a new apprentice to teach his ways, which Eddie quickly got tired of, after constantly hearing how 'good' he was.
On the other hand, Steve works constantly as best boy grip and gaffer assistant. Contrary to what most would've expected of him, he's not one for the camera, he loves rough work and feel like every bone in his body aches when the shooting is over.
With no real education on the business, he quickly adapted to the industry taking advantage of his athleticism, lifting, assembling, and running around the whole set, catching the eye of a senior gaffer who immediately took him under his wing and taught him everything.
Both hate each other because grips always make a LOT of noise when assembling, and sound is ALWAYS controlling everything when the camera starts rolling.
Except, when Wayne starts a new dinner tradition every Friday with both his 'adoptive' sons, Eddie learns that Steve is actually rather quiet, an observer, listener. Steve, conversely, realizes that Eddie is a freak of nature, breaking every rule, constantly running free.
It took more time than Wayne expected, but he laughed out loud when the producer handed consensual relationships agreements to the crew, asking to please disclose their relationships if they had one.
