Minor 3D Hypercraft Digital Processbook

still need to carve out the armhole on the left side a little more

there is still a piece that needs to be fitted in here

since I added the extra to the back, it fits around the body. Now I need to add the zipper 

I changed my digital design slightly to make it look more like the physical one. Originally, the pants had a zipper in the front but I thought that would be too complicated for me to sew so instead I put a zipper into the side seam and then changed the digital pants accordingly.

I adjusted the pants pattern and widened the waist as well as the hip and made another sample to see if it would fit this time

This is the only fabric I had lying around at home and it´s also not ironed properly but it fits!

I thought this would be way harder than it actually turned out to be. Once I figured out how to place the zipper it was alright. Still took me way too long though

redrawing the collar and stand in lectra.

I found that it is waaaayy easier to me to alter my pattern physically and then digitize it in lectra and then into clo than it is to just alter the pattern in clo. I  just never really know if what I am doing is accurate then.

I did however have a slight problem bringing my lectra patterns into clo. Only the collar stand shows up and not the collar itself. Need to recheck my file and export again.

When I fit the top piece yesterday I noticed that the back piece was too small and that I had to extend it. 

When I sewed the toile of the blouse I noticed that the Collar and Stand were too small and kind of had a weird shape. I talked to Saskia to figure out the problem and it seems like I missed to add the overlap and also shaped it weirdly so I decided to redo it completely.

Kind of annoying to redo those things so late but it´s a problem I never noticed in the digital, there everything fit together fine.

- avatar is stepping from a fantasy/alternate universe/ world into this world - colour scheme not as pictured here (the photos fit the idea conceptually but they look too pink and happy - more of a contrast between the worlds. e.g dark, moody grey world and more bright colorful one - placing the avatar at the crossing point so he´s stuck in the in-between of two worlds - want to make the avatar blurry/smudge his face so it´s like his identity is unclear (not sure which parts of himself are imagined/ fantasy and which are real, like leaving a part behind) - avatar with head in the clouds as a literal translation of having his thoughts somewhere else 

started by making half of the top piece to figure out how to work with the material and if all the patterns fit together easily

the shoulder piece was quite hard to put together because it had so many different parts --> for the other side I´ll make it out of a single piece 

The other parts were easier to put together, I only had a small issue with the side pattern so I will need to change that in clo

The top piece, as well as the blouse, are too small. With the blouse, it´s only a little tight but the top piece cannot be closed in the back so I´ll need to change that and make the back panel larger.

other problems:

- the collar is too small - still have to figure out what happened there
