These two men served in the U.S. Army and are the reason why I am alive today. The first 8s my mother's father who was a bandmaster, then served 20 years as a sheriff, meanwhile was a world class musician who left a legacy within the Monterey Jazz Festival scene. The second is a country boy from Mississippi who was a medic and the reason I was born in a military hospital. Happy Veterans Day to my ancestry, to my family and friends who have served or still serve. You all have changed my life for the best, helping me build so much appreciation for this country where we still face so much growing pains.
