Once a week he comes into your bakery to get his necessities and leave, a simple interaction between the both of you. This time he actually struck a conversation “how long you’ve been doing this?” he says as he waits for his pickup “huh?” You perk up not expecting him to say anything “the bakery” he speaks up without saying anything else. “Oh..it’s a family business so for my whole life basically ” you respond unsure on why he asked “why?” You give him a strange look “just askin” he mumbles as he gets his pickup and leaves the store as you are left there still confused.

As the weeks pass on he strikes more conversations between the two of you and you get to know him more. One day he walks into the bakery like normal “Hey bakugo!” You exclaimed, happy to see him. “Hey” he replied back “the usual?” He nods in response. You go and get his order and get it ready for him, as you come back you and hand him it “it’s on me” You smile at him “what ?” He seems caught back by your preposition “I’ll pay for it” you tell him again, he wants to say something but finds it pointless so he just turns to leave thanking you under his breath. You give him a smile back before returning to work.

The next week you prepare his order so it’s ready when he comes you stay patiently waiting for him but you are met with no arrival.

As the weeks go on you make his order on the days he’s supposed to pick it up even on days he wouldn’t come in just in case he did that day. You start missing his presence as he stops coming to the bakery.

It’s now been almost 3 months since the last time you’ve seen him fully giving up on his arrival. As you are kneading dough you hear the door bell ring thinking it’s just another costumer.

You quickly lift your head up as you hear a familiar voice “Hey dumbass” you turn to see bakugo for the first time in months. You smile at him “hey! I don’t have your Oder prepared I’ll make it as fast as possible!” You let out as you run around the counter “I’m not here for that” he revealed. You pop your head from behind “so do you want something else’s..?” He rolls his eyes before speaking “listen..I like you and when I realized I didn’t know what to do so I just tried to ignore you but that just made it worse” you give him a shocked looked not expecting him to say something like that “anyways im here to ask you on a date” he looks at you again handing you a small piece of paper. You take the paper and look at it realizing it’s his number, you then look back at him dumbfounded. “So what’s it gonna be?” He gives you an annoyed look “yeah, I’ll love to” you finally spoke out still in shock “okay” is all he says as he turns back to leave slightly smirking to himself.

You look back at the paper that has his number and smile to yourself before putting it in your pocket and get back to work.
