i wanted to ask if you have any comic recs?? I’ve read all of JLI, but I have a 26 hour flight coming up and want to get more into reading GL <3

i'm gonna copy and paste the guy gardner recs that i always do my friend, may you find joy from them like i have :)

Hal Jordan and the Green Lantern Corps: even if Hal Jordan is in the title, he’s not really the focus so much as a vehicle to moving the plot forward, and Guy gets some fantastic moments to shine as a part of the Honor Guard.

Green Lantern Emerald Warriors: although it ties into Green Lantern universe events, it’s Guy-centric and shows him working with different Green Lanterns and showing why he’s part of the honor guard, would highly recommend—he’s crass and loveable and a wonderfully complex character

Guy Gardner Solo Run/Warrior (make sure Joe Staton is the artist): this is Guy’s solo run where they were really trying to throw everything at the wall after he loses his GL ring and has to figure out a power of his own—this is when he has the slutty crop top and leather jacket and cowboy boots. It’s a really fun and loving adventure with Guy Gardner and pals and would also highly recommend!

Justice League International: this one I would tread lightly because this is Guy directly post-TBI and he’s the most controversial BUT as you continue through the issues he definitely progresses as a character and becomes less set in stone as an outright jerk. This is also where he cultivates a lot of his classic 80s friendship and his romantic relationship with Tora Olafsdotter/Ice and goes on a lot of wacky hijinks.
