Different types of meth testing in an affected individual
The recreational drug methamphetamine, commonly known as meth has a large number of users. The addictive drug is highly dangerous as it affects the Central Nervous System of the human body. The known health hazards like breathing problems, the aggressive behaviour, the dizziness, loss of appetite, migraine headache and some other euphoric problems are seen due to the effect of the Dopamine and Norepinephrine.
Usually the meth smoking and the surrounding places of the meth labs are the causes for the meth contamination in a building or the habitats. So, when any of the health hazards are seen on any individual or most of the individuals in a common house, the testing of the meth is always recommended.
Apart from the meth testing for the detection of the meth residue in a certain building or property, the testing of the affected individuals is also very important. The common tests in any individual consuming the drug are the drug testing with the Urine, the Hair and the Saliva.
In case of the Urine drug testing, the urine can be tested of an affected individual from 2-5 hours of consumption up to 3-5 days. The meth tester is immersed in the urine sample or some drops are used for the test. The test kits come in different forms like 'cassette' form, 'dip' form, and 'cup' form. In case of the hair drug testing the hairs, about 90 days after the drug use are tested and the meth affection is tested along with any other forms of drug. The simplest form of testing is the saliva testing, where the meth affected individuals saliva is collected just the other day of using the drug and tested.
