âOnly if youâre doing the same, Jacky-boy. Wouldnât want you to get all worn out worrying about me â I already know Iâm a lost cause in the sleep department.â
Mark reaches up to run the fingers of one hand through Jackâs hair, just carefully carding through the strands. He canât help the soft smile that creeps onto his lips.
âIâll stick around if you let me take you out to dinner or something, deal?â
Jack tries to laugh casually. âIâm perfectly healthy,â he lies. âNever better. You wonât be a lost cause for long, though, Markimoo. I give hella good cuddles. Iâm the cuddle master!âÂ
He melts into Markâs touch, arms tightening around his waist. His face flushes at his offer. âOut on a date, eh? I donât know if thereâs anywhere to go, but if it means youâll stick around, it canât hurt.âÂ
Mark picks up that slightly different note in Jackâs voice, and shakes his head with a little smile. âThen you wonât have any problem, eh? If youâre perfectly healthy, thereâs nothing to worry about.â
âAnd Iâm sure weâll think of something. Even if it means leaving campus for a while, heh.â There we go. The top reason Mark is not a prefect. â..If youâre down for a good time, anyway.â
âYep, no problems whatsoever. What are problems, anyhow?â Jack says, perhaps a bit too quickly and nervously. He smiles at Markâs suggestion of breaking the rules; heâs not getting a prefect badge any time soon either, what with his late night sketching sessions.
Feeling confident, he attempts to flirt back somewhat. âIâd break any rule you wanted me to if it meant spending time with you.â Okay, so maybe that was less flirty and more really stupid and cheesy, but heâs totally got this in the bag.
Mark gives a little chuckle, finally just flopping on the bed. This is more comfortable, anyway. He reaches out to offer Jack some cuddles, since it seems he regrets breaking contact after a couple moments. This kid is warm and heâd like to just wrap him up in a hug for the rest of forever. Thatâs totally not a gay thought.
âAw. Thatâs real sweet of you,â he practically purrs, grinning up at the Gryffindor boy. âLook at you being cute. Thatâs not fair.â
