I forgot to post this here but this is my new lil 5 gallon nanotank !!! I'm planning for a single pea puffer you think she'll like it??
i’ve been keeping secrets.
check out the new guys in the 30 gallon.
the crayfish got out again but don’t worry now he is truly Contained. gotta find time next week to cut down the driftwood so it fits under the lid. then I’ll redo the scape. no big changes, just making it shorter.
this is the worst the algae has ever been in there.

Hungry Ghost haunts his floating plants.
Obviously I gotta do a big algae clean up but look how much grew in two months! Wow!
Cyrus passed away and I thought his tank was gonna be empty for a while because I didn't think Petsmart had Bettas bc of Covid (they didn't back in the spring). But turns out they did so meet this new guy. I'm not 100% sure on his name yet but I am IN LOVE ❤
“Bonsai Goldfish” “Teacup Dogs” “Micro Mini Pigs” stop coming up with ‘cute’ names for abused animals.
boys night!

*seductively catches you with a net and gently releases you into a cup for temporary holding*
Wabi-kusa starting to establish itself.
Tossed anubias and one piece of buce in the underwater section because I thought it was too empty
Tripartita is doing well
It's not clean but still fancied showing off what I've been working on during quarantine.
Here's a picture of my first ever attempt at a nature aquarium (had no idea aquascaping was a thing back then) It held my Spanish ribbed newts (pleurodeles waltl) I think I was 10 when I made this aquarium, and it was pretty shitty, atleast I did a lot of water changes but all the plants died, had the newts for absolute ages so I guess I got their care right atleast. I stopped and sold everything when i was 15ish years old and started again at age 22 with just some red cherry shrimp.
2,5 years after starting the hobby and learning a lot about aquascaping, golden ratio's, water parameters, lighting, keeping plants healthy, animal care. Just tying to learn everything in general, resulted in my latest aquascape and its a world of difference.
Now I'm not saying if your aquarium looks like my first that yours is bad or ugly, not at all. I just prefer the second and I thought it would be a nice comparison to show the difference in effort and knowledge. (this post its about the aquascaping aspect of keeping aquariums)
Also what did your first aquarium look like? Show me if you got picture's :D
My first update with my main tank. Took out some of the jungle val around the amazon swords, scrapped calcium off the back, gravel wash, water change, and topped up the water to a more acceptable level. I managed to find a sponge for the filter to keep the shrimp from getting stuck.

Ah yes, an other completed aquascape, not going say too much about it since it's all on my blog (I'll respond to any questions tho) but yeah apart from some bba and staghorn algae it was a fun journey, I set this up on the 7th of January so it's 6 months old.
gonna keep it going for another 3 months at which point I'll be sick of maintenance and trying to keep the same scape going so after that I'll make a Dutch style aquascape. Since I'm Dutch myself and just like the look of that lushness.
I'll try to make a feeding video of the green neon tetra's soon cause they're like piranhas when it comes to food, also probably why I never see baby shrimp, so I might set those apart again to breed some day.
Anyway stay safe folks and keep on loving nature ;D
planted tank update: alternathera is stalky, s. repens is weirdly happy, and the hairgrass can’t decide. I have yet to properly dial in my CO2 and I need to get a good liquid fert. Is my light not enough? Probably! Will I end up buying the flat one nano? Probably!
