a tomb of unrealized power. ashes at the alter of obsolescence. he can feel the tremor of this bygone place. phantoms twist in their wells. creaking beneath shards of crumbling godhood lay waste by misguided belief. the unrelenting quiet is a harsh reminder of the mortality of all things. the death of an idol leaves behind a yawning freedom that weeps of unbound hysteria. a black hole. what is left but the labyrinthine path into shadow? rivk does not fear the boundless horrors of the arcane more than he despises the imprisonment of rigid institution. ❝ i have no pity for the willfully ignorant. ❞ the mechanized voice drawls. his helm mutes the eerie red glow of searching eyes. ❝ if those before us had not failed, we would not be embarking on this journey. ❞ he shrugs, wandering deeper into the ruin. ❝ success is built on the graves of those past. our pursuit for power will be absolute. ❞ his voice echoes through the maws of the fog that devours him. rivk halts, eyes closed to peer across the scape through the lens of his second sight. the monotone vibrations contrast the vibrant colour of ultraviolet. undersneath the unrelenting quiet, something twists and writhes. an intangible essence. unseen by optical perception. eyes open, he turns to peer at kylo's penumbral silhouette. ❝ Do you feel that? ❞
that part of the force awakens book lives rent free in my mind. the one on starkiller base where rey thinks about how she could kill kylo with one downward strike of her saber.
