Now, I'm here with unfortunate news... (Nothing too serious, don't worry)

While looking for these characters, I noticed a very distinct similarity in art style. So I did some googling, and low and behold,

They're from the same universe.

What does this mean? Well, personally, I wouldn't consider this a crossover. Especially since Gina herself and a few other people have apparently been in Mike & Zach already. Meaning it's not a crossover, more of a sequel or two stories happening at the same time (I don't know the timeline) in the same city.

With that being the case, I'm going to refuse this request! Again, I thank you for submitting, and I'm sorry your account wouldn't let you switch :/ Sucks when that stuff happens. I also appreciate that you very much could be right, they do look like they have the potential to be good friends!

At the time, I'd almost written an angry rant but I figured it was rude to respond at all... I deleted it an moved on with my life. But, I do suppose I felt obligated to try to fix a misunderstanding that happened all that time ago.

I want to say I was initially disappointed that this request wasn't done. That's not to say it was your fault specifically, I was just confused. "Gina and Noisette were from different universes! What gives!" (I'll be referring to Gina as Gene from now on, as the character has transitioned FTM in more recent appearances.)

So, in an attempt to clarify these fandoms (and being very late in doing so, sorry!): here's a defense on why this duo is a crossover, actually!!! (/silly)

This confusion might have stemmed from how I wrote the fandoms. "Mike & Zach / Suction Cup Man, Pizza Tower" to be exact.

It might have been mistaken for "Gene from Mike & Zach crossed with Noisette from Suction Cup Man and Pizza Tower"...

But, I really meant to say "Gene from Mike & Zach (as well as) Suction Cup Man, and Noisette from Pizza Tower"!

The reason for that specific distinction was that Gene was originally introduced in Mike & Zach, but became more well-known since he cameoed in Suction Cup Man. Noisette on the other hand has solely been a Pizza Tower character from the start and nothing more. What a mess.

I don't expect this reblog to result in any way with an overdue edit, honestly. I've gotten over that a long time ago! All I really want to achieve with this reaponse is just to clear up a misconception that might have been my fault to begin with :')

SCREAMS. I WOULD GIVE ANYTHING FOR AN OINGO BOINGO BROTHERS CENTRIC SPINOFF PLEAAASEEEE. OH MY GODDODODDDDDD

I genuinely think there's potential in the brothers getting a redemption arc of their own (and plenty of the other retired agents too! I mean we have CDDH for Hol Horse, so who's to say no one else can get one)

People cannot change overnight, that much is true... but people do change when, if constantly pressed into doing bad things, they choose to do good instead. In that regard I think a redemption of the brothers involing them realizing that Thoth saying something is going to happen doesn't mean it's going to happen in their favor. They choose selfless ways to fulfill what happens in Thoth even if it seems like it'll be to their detriment at first, but are later rewarded long-term for it! Almost like a reverse of what happened with the random guy that Oingo essentially mugged in the canon arc.

I may perhaps be biased as the self proclaimed Oingo liker but. Still. The thought crosses my mind frequently... the brothers as protagonists in their own story is just compelling to me.

Also, an unrelated addendum: I do hope me coloring the names makes submissions feel more whimsical! We need a bit more color in our lives sometimes. I do wonder how people make rainbow text, though... that always eludes me.

Confession #66

This is less of a confession and more like insane mental gymnastics headcanons chained together so bear with me for a bit

So, the Stand is a reflection of the user's soul. That much is obvious. That brings up an interesting implication for people who develop Stands that shapeshift the user themself: body dysmorphia so strong it started reflecting on their soul and manifesting into their Stand.

And so we reach the conclusion that Oingo is likely transgender (and Rubber Soul as well, but this ain't about him 😭)

And come to think of it, Oingo basically has the ability to change his entire body (height, weight, and smell!) and ONLY changes his face? The car segment of that arc is understandable, since he had to do it on the spot, but not the Maxim cafe segment. He had all the time in the world at that time for more than just his face and an apron. Either he's stupid or there's some other reason why he's refusing to change his body, like he already changed it into something he wanted and didn't want to alter it more.

And, it'd also explain the strange insistence of both Oingo and Boingo to call each other "brother" even if siblings just... don't constantly call out their relationship like that. It both solidifies their bond as brothers while also being a gender affirmation thing.
