*they continue to watch*
-🌟
The two kept mentioning somebody called Anthony..
*they seem very alert. They're keeping a close eye on the lights and the windows as they walk, as though they're expecting something.*
-🍬
The two robots continued to follow. Admittedly, they were keeping their guard up- But this was still better than humans.
*A spiraling vivid orange and yellow rift appears somewhere, the portal practically beckoning whoever's nearby to enter…*
-🎃
…Huh- The portal looks different today….
*They find themself on the outskirts of a small village.*
*The village is surrounded by dark woods, the canopy seeming to swallow up the dim light from the pale red moon.*
*The village itself is overgrown with pumpkin vines. They can hear people talking and laughing and happily shouting. The whole place smells like pumpkins and baked goods.*
….Ooooookay. Maybe it’s another cult. Someone should really update their summoning rituals-
She stepped all the way out of the portal, and her guitar seemed to separate into thousands of small glowing green dots, before fading into thin air.
*She can hear footsteps approaching her..*
*She sees two people.*
*One is a man wearing a brown coat, cream colored shirt, slightly tattered jeans, boots, and a blue scarf thats partially wrapped around his arm. Strangely, he has a carved pumpkin on his head.*
*the other is... a bit stranger. He has turquoise blue and green scales covering his body, deep blue eyes, greenish hair, and what seem to be water reservoirs on his arms. He has webbing between his fingers and gills on his neck. He has a long sea serpent tail instead of legs, covered in iridescent scales that look like cut gems. He has some kelp and coral growing on his body as well.*
*the scaly one looks.. visibly concerned.*
"Hello!" *The other calls out cheerfully,* "You must be new here, right?"
….Right. Definitely a cult-
WHOM HATH SUMMONED ME?
*The pumpkin one flinches a little. Strangely, the carved face moves, the eyes narrowing..*
"I... do not believe anybody summoned you, miss.." *The shiny one sighs,* "Sometimes people get dragged into this place.."
DO NOT PLAY GAMES WITH ME, LITTLE MORTALS.
*the pumpkin one hurries off, likely to go grab someone..*
"We are not 'playing games'... I'm not sure who brought you here.."
LIES!
*... Before she can try to intimidate him further, theres a figure looming behind her, huge, fiery dragon wings fully unfurled.*
"Is there a problem here?"
Her expression seemed to falter for a moment, before she quickly tried to correct it.
Su- ahem- SUMMONING DEMONS FOR GAMES, ARE WE?
*The new person just.. picks her up by the back of the shirt. She's been scruffed like a kitten.*
"Are you done yet?"
*He has horns and huge burning wings. He has crimson red skin and darker red eyes.*
*he's giving her what can best be compared to a disappointed teacher look.*
*he puts her back down, huffing.*
"Thank you. Now, why did you decide to immediately threaten my friends?"
I thought they were creepy cultists!! Wouldn’t be the first time—
*They aren't cultists.. but I guess thats a reasonable response." *His wings fold back in, sitting neatly against his back. He looks.. a lot less intimidating without them spread.*
So where am I exactly? Ive messed up portals before, but I don’t think I played any wrong notes this time— Muscle memory and all that.
"You're in the Pumpkin Patch village. Sometimes people just get.. pulled here. Nobody's sure why.."
Hmmm…
"Ehhh, you'll get sent home eventually- you would've known if it wanted you to be a resident."
Hm.. Well- What do you guys have to eat around here?
"Uhh, a lot of things-"
"I think Desert just finished baking something :> "
"I... would not trust that boy's cooking.."
What about bar food?
"We probably have something like that- would have to ask someone who actually eats that stuff, though.."
How many people are here, exactly….?
".. a lot?"
"Well.. last time somebody counted was right after me and my so- er.. apprentice.. got here, and I believe the count was around a hundred..? But more people have arrived since..."
"Yeah. So a lot."
Well, Theres gotta be at least SOMEONE that knows how to make some good junk food. I went to the NICEST little place like a week ago, they had some AMAZING Parmesan pretzel sticks—
"That definitely sounds like something Desert would make-"
"Are we sure asking him would be a good idea...?"
"It’ll be fineee!"
*the pumpkin boy starts leading them somewhere*
Well if im forced to spend time here, I might as well get something to eat.
"Are you sure there's nobody else we could ask-"
"Come onnn Ocean, it'll be fine!"
As they walked, the colored streaks throughout her hair seemed to shift hues. They had gone from dark green to a mix of yellow and Orange.
*the only one who seems to notice is Ocean, who gives her a curious glance, but doesn't question it.*
*They begin walking towards a much more crowded part of the village.*
*Everyone seems to be in a pretty good mood. A few people give her curious looks, but nobody's gaze lingers for long.*
As things got more crowded, the yellow became more prominent- and she seemed a bit more cautious..
*They get through the crowd, over to three people sitting by a fire pit.*
*One is a man whose body is half glass. He has dragon wings and horns. He's roasting marshmallows over the fire.*
*One is wearing a lab coat and cracked goggles. He has chunks of strange, faintly glowing reddish rock on him, which seems to to be shedding bits of red dust.*
*The last is a guy in a green hoodie. He has brown and white chicken-like wings, bird legs, and tufts of feathers behind his ears. He also has a blindfold on. He's noticeably breathing a little weirdly, inhaling very shallowly.*
…Are you sure this isn’t a cult?-
The yellow streaks in her hair seemed to have a bit of purple appear at the roots.
*.... the fiery one is gone. He ditched her-*
"It isn't a cult."
Debatable—
"Why are you so convinced its a cult?"
*The one with the strange stone embedded in his skin turns to just.. blankly stare at her with bloodshot, far too focused eyes..*
Because it wouldn’t be the first time!-
The streaks in her hair turned completely purple as she made eye contact with the red stranger.
*Ocean moves to be between her and the stranger...*
"Ignore him. He's like this with everyone."
Iiiiii really think I should be going—
"Nonsense! Come, sit!"
"Yeahhh, what he said.."
The purple in her hair became more vivid, and she seemed to stiffen up a bit.
No I’m Good—
"Aww, come onnn, why not?"
"She said no. Leave her alone."
*Ocean tries to lead her away from the trio*
I need to go home- Just show me the way out—
"There.. is no out. You just.. need to wait until whatever brought you here sends you back.."
Maybe I could make a portal..??
"you could try.."
Uggghhh I need somewhere quiet though- I can’t focus here..
"We could try near the library. There aren't usually many people over there."
A library…? Would I be allowed to make any noise over there?-
"I'm sure the librarian won't mind. But we can do it outside, if it makes you feel better."
Sure—
She lifted both of her hands up and out slightly, and a guitar seemed to appear out of thin air.
-
Ooc; i dont have an actual guitar ref drawn so just picture something like this
*they get over to the library. There's barely anybody over here..*
Moxxie played a few stray chords- seemingly some kind of warmup. Strangely, despite looking and sounding like an electric guitar, it wasn’t plugged into anything.
*he quietly watches, not wanting to interrupt her*
Soon enough, She played a similar string of chords to the first one, and there were a few sparks- then a green portal that appeared in front of her.
"I've.. never seen somebody open a portal like that before. That's very impressive."
Is it..? Everyone can do it back home-
"Mhm! Very impressive." *he seems genuine.*
Well…. Thank you…..?
*he awkwardly nods,* "well, it was.. nice to meet you, even if things were a little rough. Be safe, alright?"
…You too—
She carefully stepped through the portal, and the portal disappeared right after.
*A spiraling vivid orange and yellow rift appears somewhere, the portal practically beckoning whoever's nearby to enter…*

As soon as it was quiet, Tangle began muttering something somewhat incomprehensible, while focusing on the crystal ball sitting on their desk. A few moments later, a faint glowing light appeared in the room, and a figure followed soon after, maintaining the same soft glow.
