Arm wrestling strength + heights:
The volleyball hit Hikaru square in the nose, knocking him to the ground.
βSORRYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYπ©π©π©!β Asako said as she begged for forgiveness.
Hikaru was lying with his back on the floor. βWowβ¦that was a powerful spike.β
[name] got the boy to sit up. βDonβt lay down too long with a bloody nose, ya idiot.β
β..Guess ya oughtta see the nurse.β Yoshiki said as he looked at the boy with his bloody nose.
βYoshikiβ¦β Hikaru trailed off.
[name] scoffed before pulling a tissue out of god knows where. βWipe yer nose.β
βHoo boy, I seriously suck at all ball sportsβcept soccer.β Hikaru said while wiping his nose clean of the blood.
Hikaru and Yoshiki walk out of the gym, leaving [name] with the rest of the class.
Usually, [name] had no problem being with others when Hikaru and Yoshiki werenβt around. Sometimes sheβd prefer it over their weird way of hanging out with her.
But ever since she came back from the mountain with Hikaru, sheβs been less social.
Asako stared at the girl while she sat on the sidelines. The P.E teacher didnβt bother her since she feigned cramps.
[name] was never the best at ball sports either since she was more into things like swimming and running, but she never skipped out on it during gym class.
It made Asako look at the girl a little more closely.Β
Class ends and the girlsβ locker room is filled with chatter.
βYa wanna go to the mall this weekend?β
βSure! I needa get some new clothes anyway.β
βAhh, I gained weight again!β
βThat bra looks so cute on you!β
[name] was talking to one of the girls without a care in the world, all smiles and everything.
β¦it was weird to Asako.
The day ended and [name] was packing up her stuff.
βHey, [name]-chan,β Asako said as she came up from behind. βYa wanna go grab a snack before coming to my house?β
[name] was surprised by the sudden invitation but she smiled at it. βSure!β
Asako smiled back, but deep down she knew why she invited the girl.
The store wasnβt anything exciting, and the people you see there are even less than that.
Asako went to grab something in a different aisle, leaving [name] alone.
She scanned the shelves for something she wanted before she spotted Yoshiki.
She was about to call out to him before she was tapped on the shoulder by someone.
It was a female friend of her father who seemed to be accompanied by her⦠son?
βYer the [lastname]βs kid! Man, i knew it was you! You canβt miss a body like dat!β The woman said with a loud laugh.
[name] let out a nervous chuckle before trying to walk past, only for the woman to stand in her way.βWhy ya tryna ta run? Canβt we talk a little more?β
βI was justβ¦ trying ta get to my friend. Weβre hanginβ out later.β [name] smiled before trying to push past again.
This time, the son was the one who blocked her way.Β
βThis is my son, you two are around the same age. What if you twoβ¦β The womanβs voice started to fade to [name]βs ears as static replaced it.
I should just kill her, thatβd be easier.
[name]βs eyes darkened as her forehead started to melt and the goop the came out was about to engulf the womanβs entire head.
β[name]!β Asako yelled out from the other end of the aisle.
She snapped out of her trance and turned to look at the girl, a bit relieved.
The woman sighed before speaking again. βWell, thatβs yer friend. Make sure to stop by so we can talk, βkay?β
The woman and her son left. The son looked back at the girl but was only met with the back of her head.
Asako was panting a bit when she finally made it to [name]. βIβm sorry! I was talking to a worker and I got distracted!β
βOh, itβs fine.β [name] said.
The girls started making their way to the cashiers. βWho was that lady anyway?β
[name] thought for a moment before waving the question off. βJust a family friend.β
She doesnβt know what wouldβve happened if she hadnβt come when she did.
She saw thatβ¦ stuff coming from [name]βs head.
[name] has been to Asakoβs house and has seen her room plenty of times before, having always complimented the girl on how cute it was.Β
[βnameβ], however, has never been there in person before.Β
βMy dad anβ sis are out right now, so we have the whole house to ourselves.β Asako said as she took off her shoes.
The girls went straight to Asakoβs room. It was dimly lit with string lights all around, and it was noticeably cooler than the rest of the house.
While the room was familiar, it was like an entire new world for [name]. She was filling in blanks from her memory with things she couldnβt βrememberβ.
βAhh, Iβm so beat! Wanna watch a movie in the living room, or do ya wanna stay in here?β Asako asked as she put all the stuff in her hands on her bed.
[name] had become a bit entranced by the rug on the girlβs floor. βWe can stay here.β
She finally made up her mind and sat down. The rug was a nice teal color that wasnβt too overpowering that it felt like it stood out too much.
Asako sat down next to the girl with her phone in hand. βI feel like itβs been forever since we hung out! Ya dad is always talkinβ about ya with my dad, and he always says you changed after you came back from the mountain.β
βYoshiki says that about Hikaru,β [name] starts as she fiddles with her thumbs, βActinβ like we grew 2 heads when we got back.β
[name]βs eyes started looking at everything but Asako. βIt wasnβt like it was anything serious.β
βIt wasnβt like we diedβ¦ or somethinβ.β [name] looked back at Asako, only to find her smiling.
βYouβre not really her, arenβt you? Please tell me the truth, I promise I won't be mad.β
[name]βs world began to twist and contort into something else. It felt as though a blanket was pulled over her eyes.
It felt as though she was a floating mass in a vast ocean, and she couldnβt move a single limb.
The moment didnβt feel real, just the moment her lips touched Asakoβs didnβt feel real.
She couldnβt think, she turned everything off when she heard Asako.
Maybe she shouldβve killed the lady in the store.
