- he forgives but doesn’t forget, if mc keeps “misbehaving” he’s agitated but will forgive if apologized to. words and actions are remembered and go a long way with him.
- his favorite trees would probably be oak, birch, or pine. (oak trees have magical significance, maybe that’s why the carving was made from that kind of wood?)
- doesn’t necessarily acknowledge holidays, goes about his business and even birthday as per usual. if mc wanted to celebrate he’d gladly oblige though.
- personally feel like he could’ve made a pact with the forest? to find his true love or just wishing to not be so alone. steering fate into a different direction if you will. (hence the weather conditions, the journal entry, comment on the cabin, seems too deliberate.)
- maybe he was raised on a farm? knowing how to do certain things, it’d be hard to just move out into nowhere with no previous knowledge. maybe he was a part of a family that was sheltered and did farm work?
- probably has a few connections in town for labor work to get cash. like post it’s on small store windows for wood cutting or yard maintenance things?
- doesn’t like too tight of clothing, likes more loose clothes for movability. i do think he could be the kind of guy to sleep in jeans though…
- when he’s alone he doesn’t cook anything too nourishing or extravagant, possibly sticking with tv dinners and junk food. for mc though he cooks them way better and comforting meals.
- enjoys working outdoors late late at night so he can watch the sun come up and creatures move at dawn.
- practices witchcraft in certain ways without realizing it, or perhaps he does?
- if he does get close enough and trusts mc they’ll go for dates in town, nothing too fancy and they better be near him at all times. possibly just for supply runs but maybe a date at a diner or small stores could be fit in.
- has a cellar and could possibly contain past kills or some secrets about his past. he keeps mostly his hunting equipment and jarred items down there too.
