1: shows a lack of understanding of how the justice system works in the USA, and how it fails to prevent crime in every sense of the word

2: shows that you either don’t know anything about the community, or are willfully nitpicking at people with bad takes.

I’m a CSA survivor, and the effects of that show. I suffer from C-PTSD and DID as a result of what happened to me. You want to know how the community feels about my trauma? They have the utmost respect and empathy for me, even the pro-contact ones you hate so.

This “dick riding of rapists” you call has nothing to do with an apparent disrespect towards of survivors that you think maps have, and it had everything to do with preventative and rehabilitative justice.

What our current justice system does to take action against the perpetrator(s) (if any, because the system is run by people who don’t take SA seriously), is to incarcerate them AFTER the assault happens, meaning that the damage is already done. After incarceration, absolutely no steps are taken to approach the root problem that motivated the perpetrator to commit the assault in the first place, and because of the nature of most prisons, that person is probably going to leave feeling worse than when they started, and give them no direction to take once their sentence is done, add on to the fact that they’re most likely going to have to register as a sex offender (which does nothing but strip a person of their rights and freedoms, and statistically does jack shit to prevent SA). It creates a perfect storm to motivate that person to do more crime, because have nothing to lose. This is done by design, because prisons make the most profit from repeat offenders.

So yes, I do believe in absolute reform of the justice system, like abolishing prisons, sting operations, SO registries, and the like. Because neither party receives any justice as it is.
