Omg, I can totally see it - Hanush sends Hans off to a monastery for a bit. You know, "for his own safety" (so nobody steals the Rattay`s star) and so he can think about higher things and the meaning of life and all that.
Okay, so Hans does think ā but not about any of that. He thinks about his squire. And when Henry finally comes to pick him up... oh man

My small contribution to the Winter Fandom Battle team collection. I absolutely adore these two ā Trosky Castle, the whole area of Troskowitz, and the wedding quest. It's the most beautifully warm, summery corner of the whole game.
This week I was in a funk, completely swamped with work ā no singing, no dancing, not even much talking. But I did some six fanarts, so here's a picture with the best partner in the world. Wish we all had colleagues like that.
The truth is, I spent the whole of January drawing intensely, totally immersed in hansry content. But I have nothing to show for it, as everything was for the Winter Fandom Battle. A small Hans sketch I forgot to post this week. In his cell at MaleŔov, I imagine he prayed for only one person. Kyrie eleison
Got sucked back into the world of novel "Metamorphoses" again. Ended up drawing a scene I couldn't get out of my head: Henry and Bartosch at the siege of KarlÅ”tejn, and that one kiss that never actually happened. I just love those "on the edge" moments ā where everything is teetering on the verge of happening, but stays a mere "what if". Can't say the lads would agree with me, though.
What a week. So glad it's almost over. To mark the occasion, here are some sketches of Hans ā who, let's be honest, hasn't had the best week either.
I also want to share a piece here that is important to me for several reasons.
It's a gift for Morlevan, the author of the full-fledged historical novel "Metamorphoses," which covers the lives of Hans and Henry (and a little spoiler ā Bartosh) after Suchdol.
The theme of the adult Hans and Henry is especially precious to me. It's always fascinating to look into the "they lived happily ever after," especially when there weren't many prerequisites for it, and we all know what fate has in store for the guys.
And the theme of "adult" relationships, after the hormones have subsided, and they have to somehow move forward and find ways to choose each other every day.
And last but not least ā I'll celebrate my first illustration with two full-bodied characters, not just floating heads!
