if you're staying in taichung, i highly recommend booking this tea tasting and brewing activity on klook. their shop, 茶畝芢Terra's Tea, is nestled in the north district and it is a modern take on taiwan's tea culture. i loved the experience so much, i ended up buying a complete hario hand-drip tea set of my own. it was so worth every penny and now i make tea for my family every day since i got home and it's such a great way to bond every tea time.

a quaint and homey self-service restaurant tucked in a quiet corner in the west disctrict of taichung. they have a unique take on taiwan's beloved lu rou fan. we got two orders of pork rice (one with fried duck egg and one spicy version with pork floss), a side dish of golden kimchi, and complimentary chicken soup. it was a simple and delightful meal to help us recharge after our quick shopping trip from mitsukoshi before heading to the capoo house which is just a 5-minute walk away.

we had the wonderful opportunity to partake in this tea tasting after coming down from alishan on our way to our b&b. their tea leaves are grown right at the back of this tea shop! we were able to try their best selling green tea, charcoal oolong, and honey black tea~
