Alishan is really beautiful! Lots of giant cypress trees about 600 years old. I had to laugh at the white tourists I overheard complaining there were "too many people." The last picture is what they were complaining about. If you travel a lot in Asia, this is really not that many people at all! Also, you don't get such immmaculate trails and tourist infrastructure (including an adorable narrow-gauge train that runs throughout the park!) in a place nobody visits.
