is this a safe space to say that the additions to the LGBT flag (“progress flag”) are well meaning but undermine the fact that the original colors symbolized vague concepts that could apply to anyone, rather than signifying specific types of human beings, which is, ironically, more “exclusionary” since it begs the question of why “X specific group of humans” aren’t being represented in the imagery now. the original flag completely avoided that conundrum. also it’s a little ugly. But don’t mind me lol.

the ruling class and their apologists are already weaponizing therapy-speak to dismiss the moral and logical clarity displayed by bushnell as nothing more than the confused actions of an unstable person that has no basis in reality. psychology since its inception has been repeatedly used as a tool of bourgeois pseudoscience to pathologize our responses to crimes against humanity. they deploy the language of “mental health” to whitewash the violence they enforce the masses, and instead convince us that our extreme responses to state-sanction depravity is just an individualist failing, a “chemical imbalance” that can be solved if we just drug ourselves back into complicity. and the organizing system of capital, the wars for profit, the evictions and imperialism and the lack of food and so on are never identified as root cause of our sickness.
