hi y’all.  i haven’t really had the muse for Cyril nor a thread to respond to for a while now, so i’m just going to go ahead and post that i’m not going to be posting much if at all.

Her tendency to run into battle blind would probably end up being her downfall. After all, heroes had to plan ahead and cover any blind spots that a battle may throw on them. That was one area she’d never been good at covering during class - maybe she should’ve paid better attention. 

Blood dripped from the gash above her eyebrow, clouding her vision, but the pyrokinetic hero quickly wiped it away. She turned to face the voice that’d just addressed her. “’Course I’m alright.” she said, bluntly, before her gaze traveled to the civilians. “A group of bank robbers, all with quirks that quickly overpowered mine. Water based ones, mostly.” 

“I see...” Cyril mumbled to himself.  He wouldn’t say he recognized the hero, but he at least had a general idea of who it was.  Well, that is to say, he was aware she was a hero.  

His gaze flicked over her, confirming what she had to say about her injuries.  “Perhaps you should stand aside, ma’am.”  Such a thing was always risky to say to a hero--they all seemed to share a suicidal zeal when it came to jumping into dangerous situations--but nonetheless he tried to herd her away from the scene.

“Yeah. Luckily I don’t face them anymore.” Though he didn’t consider it too lucky. He wished that he could get his dad’s approval one day… though he’d have to work hard for it.

He chose to leave that subject at that, and proceeded, “You live next to your parents? Don’t they like… invade your privacy or something?” From previous experience, he knew that a lot of parents do that - especially his own. They would never give him a break.

“Oh well. Video games aren’t for everyone. Especially for old people like you,” he joked as they approached the intersection and turned left.

“I wouldn’t say they invade my privacy,” Cyril stated, possibly in denial.  He was essentially raised in a group environment, everyone was up in everyone’s business.  He didn’t find it strange.  “But they are a constant in my life ...  Or, at least, when we’re all home at the same time, which doesn’t happen all that often, really.”

Knowing that he had to go left, Michael speculated whether he should tell Cyril now. “Uh… we’ll take a left from here,” he finally said. “After that it’s a few more twists and turns before I get home.” Mikhail was probably waiting for him, wondering where the hell he his. Michael hadn’t even bothered to check his phone.

“A Game Boy? I used to have that when I was like 5 but when I wasn’t studying enough my dad threw it away.” It was a vague memory that doesn’t hurt a lot, but still. “I guess we’re kind of on the same boat here, heh. But now that I don’t live with them I can do anything I want. Aren’t you living by yourself? You should try to pick it up again, if you’d like.”

“Ah, of course,” Cyril said, not bothered in the slightest to be interrupted and corrected, modifying his route accordingly to go that way instead.  “Just tell me where to go,” he hummed, with a shrug.
