Im so shy about certain things thats i strong wish to advocate because i am afraid of the responses by certain people but my question is for what?? We only live life once. Craving a better life...
So it’s 420am, I’m laying here awake with my fussy baby girl and so much on my mind right now. Thinking a lot lately on how much time I waste on stupid shit. Online, social media. It’s so time consuming, especially since I was put on bed rest it’s all I do. I spend hours, numerous hours a day, scrolling and double tapping.
What is hilarious to me, is the fact that five years ago this was all still new. We were not raised on Facebook an instagram, yet here we are, as adults no less, and we couldn’t picture our lives without it. What a thought to think. Life without status updates an tweets. It’s comical to me.
What is even funnier… Crazy question… If you were to get rid of all your social media accounts, how many friends an followers would you really have?… Hm … Now divide that number by about 4.20 an that’s probably a bit more realistic. Perfect comparison… When you have kids, your friends slowly start to fade away an your social life dwindles.
Technology has made me so fuckin lazy. Am I just looking for something to blame my lack of motivation on? Possible. However, I am considering on testing my hypothesis (?! Lol shut up) and seeing which is accurate.
It’s funny cuz when I was discussing this on Facebook (go figure) I first thought of a “figure out who your real friends are” challenge. When I realized… This could be oh so much more than that!! More so, a better your own life challenge!
Taking a step back to look at this from different perspectives AKA hitting the blunt, I realized how much more LIFE I would be getting out of every day if I indeed focused on actually living everyday. Oh what a horrible life to live if you had to do just that… Live. Crazy thought huh.
It’s laughable because then I contemplate… Is it just me? Could I really be the only loser who scrolls for hours out of my day when I have a list long of better things I should be doing with my time?
