Tech : *deep sigh*

He takes a step toward the console, steeling himself— —and brandishes his sword at the new figure waiting for him there. They are leaning on the far wall, patiently waiting, like they were content to be noticed in Hunter’s own pre-flight preparations. A half-mask obscures the lower part of the person’s face, but there is no missing the narrow, calculating eyes under the brim of a Fire Nation hood—or the gleam of a long staff slung across their back. Hunter hadn’t noticed them at all—no sound, no hint of a presence until Hunter sauntered up to them at the hangar’s control booth. Whether they have been lying in wait the whole time or has just arrived on silent feet, Hunter doesn’t know.  This rattles him—more than anything else that has happened today. “Leaving?” The figure’s voice breaks the silence, shattering the hopeful quiet nestled inside the airship behind Hunter. The figure’s tone is masculine, coiled, almost like a snake. It matches the gait of his stride as he steps forward and out of the shadows.  Hunter, meanwhile, takes one step backwards, still with his sword pointed at their antagonist. “And without me?” the man goes on, like he is genuinely disappointed. He steps further into the ambient, electric light of the hangar, revealing more of himself. He wears the armour of the Fire Nation Army, but custom-fitted and modified—lighter for mobility, painted in shades of charcoal and black rather than the standard crimsons. But more concerning than anything else is the flicker of actual flame that dances around his right hand like a living glove. He has it held low at his side, and small tongues of fire curled between his fingers, ready to be unleashed. His eyes are a stormy dark grey. One of them is marred by a crossed scar over his right eye. Hunter’s eyes narrow as he makes eye contact. Yet he breathes his next word, heavy with equal parts relief and sorrow. “Crosshair.”

I think a brief introduction might be helpful:

To my moots who already know me and for the people who might come across this post, I'm Mely. I'm 31 years old, I'm from Mexico, and everyone around here knows me for my love for Star Wars. I'm a huge fan of the Star Wars Universe, a big TCW and TBB fan. I'm a digital artist and 3D generalist by profession, a profession that I currently do not practice. I lost my job and I haven't been able to apply for/land new jobs or even create a new portfolio because I lost my computer, my main working tool, and all my files, demo reels, portfolios, everything I had is gone. I've been jumping from one job to another, working as a carer, house cleaner, teacher, etc., to keep going and survive; currently I am working in a coffee shop as a barista.

I never thought I’d be in this situation, but I need to ask for help. I don't know if I ever mentioned it before here, but I've been dealing with health issues for two years. Everything was under control until the past few months; it got worse—the last update is that there is an inflammation in my brain going on, and despite multiple doctor visits and tests, I still don’t have clear answers, and I need to see specialists to get the proper treatment. Medical costs, along with the need to take time off work, have made this incredibly difficult. I’m doing everything I can to keep going, but I can’t do it alone anymore. At my job they don't offer medical insurance; I've been trying to land another job that offers me healthcare, but it has been impossible due to the same health issues. I applied for government medical support, but it was denied.

Here is when I ask you for your help: I'm opening a fundraising account to help me get the funds to get medical care. Any donation, no matter how small, would help me afford the care I need.

As a thank-you, I’d love to offer simple art commissions for those who donate. It won’t be anything too elaborate since my energy and resources are limited, but I want to give something back to those who support me.
