Got to season 4 in my Turn rewatch, and I'm genuinely wondering what Caleb's real reason was for running from camp in s4e4. He tells Ben it's because he wanted food but... come on, surely not. Maybe he wanted to tell Ben about how he thought he'd given up the ring? But then why would he leave camp for that?

Logically I suppose it's a nonsensical decision that can be attributed to the delirium and fever he must be suffering from, but there's always a line of thought regardless of logic. So my question is what was he thinking?

Words can't express how much this movie means to me! I had never seen any depictions of a Black woman living in the British aristocracy in the 18th century before. For such a private young woman, her life touche history in very influential ways, Dido.

For one, her uncle, the prominent judge Lord Mansfield's ruling in cases dealing with the slave trade were undoubtedly influenced by the presence of Dido, the daughter of his nephew and a slave woman.

For another, she inspired a character in Sanditon, the final and unfinished novel by family acquaintance Jane Austen. Both the film version of her life, and the "Sanditon" tv series and character Georgiana Lambe ensure that Dido is not forgotten and continues to fascinate with her beauty, poise, and unique story well into the 21st century.
