Simply, don’t.  No matter the situation, get creative with date.  Share your intimate moments together.  It does not require sex.  It requires a set of listening ears and respectful lips. Do it while the kids are asleep. Or have someone is watch them.  Express thoughts, away from common talks of household issues and bills.

You know what happen when you stop dating?  You lose insight of each other.  You drift apart.  When reconciling the emotions, it can become a huge challenge.  You can’t figure out what went wrong. You can’t figure out how to fix it when it been too long. 

Never forget each other.  Always find a way to date one another. Keep the flame, burning, and well lit.  Take deep breaths together, as if it is your last day to be alive. 

The moment you think that, they’re in your head. They’ve gotten you to accept that abuse is the baseline for how life should be.
