I realize I haven't been active much at all this year online...

Between leaving my old job, developing my coding skills and trying to find passion for art again it's been a bumpy road creatively. I thank each and every one of you for sticking with me despite that!

Doing a lazy sort of “___tober” which I’ll dub “wiptober” since I’m keeping things messy and sketched…

I realized something important this year after going on hiatus from my webcomic Eco the Comic and that's that not all art necessarily needs to be "post-ready".

I'd honestly forgotten that it was okay to have ugly, messy pieces with no purpose until I fell back into using my sketchbook more. With all the chaos of trying to find space for art in balance with my full-time job, it became easier and easier to have that small book that I could just create for the sake of it. Something I think a lot of artists forget to give themselves is that space to create in a genuine, experimental way and I realize it's really helped to heal the burnout that was dragging me down for months.
