The voice actors for the NextGen64 Crew! So incase people didn't know (and because I never talk about them here, why would you?), these are all the descendants of the StudioV Original Actors.

° Avery Hendrix - VA for Boston Beaver, daughter of Melody Hendrix, wife of Shelby Darmin-Hendrix

° Scottie Fuentes - VA for Odinn Otter, no human relatives known for some reason, boyfriend of Kenny Blake

° Charlie/Charlotte Baker - VA for Winnifred Walrus-Dolphin, daughter of Nathan Baker.

° Logan Thompson - VA for Gordon Goose, son of Jake Thompson (When they were created, I didn't realize they shared the same names as the Paul brothers)

° Amy Wilkes - VA for Giselle Goose, daughter of Alexander Winslow, widow of Micah Wilkes

° Shelby Darmin - Not a VA for this series, daughter of Kevin Darmin, half-sister of Charlie Baker, wife of Avery Hendrix.

° Sunny, Lincoln, and DJ Baker - Not VAs for this series, triplet sons of Oliver Baker, cousins of Charlie and Shelby. Sunny might be pining for someone in the group of actors, which his brothers tease him for.

° Harper Rae - Not a VA for this series, son of Jules and Delilah Rae, cousin of Avery Hendrix.

° Stella Winslow - VA for ???, daughter of Felix Winslow.

(Small note, I know I put "descendants", yet Scottie doesn't really HAVE relatives in this universe. However, he still kinda counts since Holly, Kevin's sister, considers him her nephew. Which is fitting considering Holly is the VA for Olive Otter in-universe, and Odinn's aunt in the series)

The light from the kitchen buzzes faintly. Dishes quietly clang together as Melody scrubs them. It's late at night, and most of the household is asleep. Except for her and someone else who seemed to sneak his way into the room. Giovanni cleared his throat.

"Ahem. You're being too loud.", he snapped.

Melody turned to look at him, startling slightly. "I told you not to sneak up on me, you asshole.", Melody scolded as he rolled his eyes. "And the dishes aren't even that loud, stop complaining if you won't do them yourself".

He scoffs. Him? Do the dishes? 'What a novel concept', he thought. He leaned against the counter. "Doesn't it get tiring being so insufferable?", he asked. "Shocked you don't ask the same question in the mirror.", answered back. Giovanni glared at Melody, who smiled at him in a way that said "Got you there".

Giovanni watched her do the dishes. "Why are you even awake? It's 2AM.", he said. Melody paused and set the sponge down. "I can't sleep.", she answered quietly. It's not that she couldn't. But she didn't want to. Her nightmares were getting worse. When she closed her eyes at night, she'd see her daughters get older and die. She'd see everyone she loved die.

"I can tell. Look, I really don't care.", Giovanni replied curtly, as if her sudden mood shift never happened.

Melody sighed. Of course he didn't care. "Figured that'd be the case.", she mumbled.

But in reality, after that hug she'd given him once...he did. "Uh, hey", he began, then shook his head. Melody looked over at him, confused. "Listen, as much as I don't give a fuck...You can tell me stuff. I guess". She was now even more confused.

"But would you actually listen?", she asked. Great. Now he's gotten himself into something he never should've. "Yeah, sure.", he said, almost brushing her off.

They talked until dawn. He told her about his life, she told him about his.

My creature feature............This is:

Melody Marmot!!!

"Y'know, I've got nothing to lose. So what's the rush? I'll be right there!"

Backstory:

Melody started out as a human, living in another universe. She'd gotten married and had kids, divorced, lost her son, and then remarried a year later and had another daughter. Her husband, Grant, originally wanted a little bit of space because his job was so demanding. He and Melody separated for a little while, and Melody occupied her time dimension-hopping.

At this point in time, she had began playing a game called Shipwrecked64. Melody adored the gameplay, but despised Bucky and most of his crew, save for Walter. Every time she'd played a video game, she ended up sucked into that world so she can fix a "canon event". Example:

Mouthwashing: Prevent the crash and complete the delievery with EVERYONE alive. Bonus, prevent Jimmy's misdeeds.

Stardew Valley: Complete the Community Center and drive Joja out of business. ***

Shipwrecked64: Complete the Hero Ending and save everyone from the volcano.

Now, you've probably noticed the little "***" for Stardew. Well, a canon event can only be completed ONCE. The rules for the Multiverse are simple.

You cannot age or die until the canon event is completed.

You cannot set your home dimension until the canon event is completed.

See, Melody already FINISHED the Stardew Valley canon event. However, when she went to visit one day, she didn't know the rules had changed. Previously, this wasn't how things worked. You could originally leave when you wanted.

Melody had entered the Shipwrecked64 dimension, turning into an anthropomorphic marmot. She met Bucky, and because she originally fell for the mischaracterization, she didn't want to be near him. Unfortunately, she'd left her Multiverse Tool in his dimension before she left for the Valley, and he found it.

They both ended up stuck after Bucky broke the tool on accident. She also couldn't go home regardless since she needed to complete the canon event. But...

How would she complete it if it's already been solved?

So, now she was softlocked. She was forced to team up with Bucky as they navigated Valley Life. She eventually discovers he's not a bad person, and they become great friends. The Author (yes I have a self-insert, not too terribly involved in the plot, however) takes pity on her and decides that while she'd remain immortal, she could still be with her family. So, Melody goes home and stays with her husband until he eventually passes away.

Her kids came next years later, and with really nothing else to lose, she agrees to move to Broadside Beach.

Relationships

Bucky

Melody and Bucky are very close friends, having lived together for 55 years. Her grandchildren took to calling him their grandfather very quickly despite the two never being romantically involved. They do eventually adopt a child together (again, purely platonic) and raise them.

Walter

Walter considers her a sister-in-law. Melody adores him, and only wants the best for him. She often helps Walter with problems Bucky can't. Melody feels like he's the brother she wishes she could've had.

Olive

She treats Olive like a sister, always around her and willing to be there. They're not as close as she and walter, but Olive is absolutely someone she would take a bullet for. Melody and Olive wear matching bracelets sometimes and are rarely seen fighting.

Giovanni

HELLO, WHY ARE THEY SO DOWN BAD FOR GIOVANNI!? 😭😭😭
