It’s been a really tough year now. I started a new job, and then Kai (white cat) got really sick. He had FIP and I had to put him down. 2 weeks later, Shadow (black cat), my senior cat, my best friend, had to be put down because his stomach tumor was making him a little uncomfortable. Then Jasper (cream tabby OSH), also had FIP and I had to put him down.  

I asked the Breeder if she would reimburse me for Jasper since I only had him for less than 2 months. Kai for almost 2 years, but he had a longer life and I gave him the best life ever. With Jasper, she basically gave me a sick kitten since he was way worse than Kai with his blood results. The breeder won’t reimburse me for Jasper or Kai, but give me two brand new kittens. The problem is FIP is within bloodlines. So all of her cats are basically infected and extremely susceptable to the virus. :/ She said she’d give me ones from brand new bloodlines, but I don’t want to go through this again. I’m very disappointed in her since she’s a vet technician. She should know she needs to stop breeding for a few years.

My vet said that 95% of cats with FIP live with the virus, so for me to get 2 cats that are in the 5% is very bad.

Losing Shadow though, after 17 years, has been extremely difficult. We’ve walked the same path together (depression, tumours). He’s always been there for me. 

Did a quick sketch of Earl Sinclair earlier this morning. Did a quick colour of it too. ha. I miss this show. Good thing I bought the DVD’s of it.

Day 7 - Draw a current OC (in detail)

Sorry. I have the flu, and fell asleep as soon as I got home from work yesterday. Stayed home today to rest.  I’m happy with what came out today for day 5 and 6

Day 5: Shadow, my cat. I’ve had him for over 16 years now. Hopefully for a few more years :) We’ve both been through the same things in life. Bullying, depression, but then we found each other through these hard times. Now he’s always with me. I had tumors removed, he’s had tumors removed. Just so many things together. <3

Day 4: New OC

Well, Semi-New. My niece  (5 years old) and I were making characters, and I asked her to name my spotless ladybug. She said Tsudya (pronounced Soodiya). 

Day 3: Favourite Food, Spaghetti with turkey meat and lots of cheese. DD:

Day 2: Favourite Animal, Llama

I don’t really have a favourite animal, but I found that my life resembles a llama. I carry a lot of weight on my shoulders, including other people’s problems.

I’ve decided to do a 100 day challenge of sketches to try to help myself get motivated. I’ve challenged two of my longtime friends to join me on this quest for motivation! D:

Not all my sketches will be coloured, and I want to try different styles at the same time. :>

DAY 1: Draw Self sketch

I’ve been really busy lately.

My dad was in the hospital for 3 months. I had to deal with assisting him. I was going to move out, but then my neighbour decided to call the township and say our property was “falling apart, not maintained, grass is never cut, blah blah blah.” It’s not. But we basically had to take out a dying tree in the front, and I closed my mom’s side garden because she’s too sick to maintain that now. But I’m sorry I don’t cut my grass every other day. I’m actually happy my grass is green and not white. And not maintained? Ok. I apologize for not using illegal chemicals on my lawn and gardens because I actually like butterflies and bees flying around. In the spring, I walked by all our fruit trees and they were filled with bees on every flower. They sounded so happy!

My neighbour is just psycho OCD. He hasn’t been able to sell his overpriced house for 7 years and he’s trying to blame us for it now. He’ll probably die of old age before he sees it sell. 

Anyways on a more positive note, I have two ways to lower my stress. First is cardio kickboxing. I really like it! It’s fun to take out your anger on a punching bag.

Second: I started to like waterpainting. It’s very calming. I’m not great at it but It’s just fun to paint what I like. So below is the octopus from Bedknobs and Broomsticks. I bought the DVD again. <3 I just never understand why the cartoon animals on the case look nothing like the cartoon animals in the movie. So disappointing. They could have done better with the lion!
