Our next merboy is our chicken wing junior! Lan Jingyi, a soragoi koi fish, a species known for their sky blue/grey pattern and one of the friendliest and more food-driven kois amongst their kind(along with chagoi kois, they can even also be hand trained to greet people)!

Finally we've got Merxian's mate, his beloved Lan Zhan! Merji, a majestic, shiny and large Butterfly koi!

On another thought, if we were thinking about getting angsty, let's say (what if) canon tragedy still happens and Wei Ying gets brought back in MXY's body. As a plec, he's still spiky (they are so tough and rough), but lost his venom 🥺. Oops. (Have you tried grabbing a plec? Don't do it, you'll get nasty cuts on your hands.)

It's mermay! Have some Merxian! Ever since I read that fic that pictured Wei Ying as a Lion fish, I couldn't agree more, such a spiky boy. Please feel free to use this as reference!
