I am falling in love with someone who is so broken. I haven’t the faintest idea how this happened or how to even begin to deal with this but I am falling. 

We have a connection that I can’t explain. A connection that goes beyond the amount of time we’ve known each other. It feels almost mystical. He once told me “I feel like God sent you to me.” I completely agree. Have you ever met someone that you knew already? 

It's weird having feelings like this for someone who isn't all the way there, though. I see him trying. Desperately. To keep himself together. Keeping himself sane. It’s weird because on the one hand I know his mental stability is priority. I know his wellness is priority. It should be. I put my mental wellness before anything. On the other hand, I so desperately want him to be ok so I can love him without restrictions. So I can give myself to him without being afraid of triggering something.

And the craziest part is...that even though he’s broken and has things he's battling, I still feel love from him. I think it’s because regardless of all he’s been through, he is love. His soul is love and it comes through even when it seems like it shouldn't.
