Laufey - "Christmas Dreaming" | This winter has def been Laufey's yr. But her souldful jazzy voice is actually really good for XMas songs. Plus this twin video is adding extra warmth.
莉莉周她說 Lily Chou-Chou Lied - "往常" | During my annual, whats playing at MegaPort for the "i'll finally go one day" music exploration, i discovered this band. This is exactly my jam. Spacey, duet, electronics, and ethereal. And somehow this band is an homage to Lily Chou Chou, and assume fans of the film All About Lily Chou Chou. I'm happy that weird film inspired a generation.
Wolfram & Desire - "Sad Ibiza Song" | I'm really falling for most bands under the label of Italians Do It Better. They all have a electronic 70s sound, that is just pure fun. Also a lot of their artists like to do videos that reminds me of the Giallo genre.
The Novembers - “NEO TOKYO Live at TSUTAYA O-EAST “ NEO KYO - 20191111 - ” | Just caught these guys at Fujirock Fest 2022 and they covered Kaneda from Akira??!? An anime classic. Finally someone in a none soundtrack setting covers this song? pure gold. And it even ends up sounding like a LCD Soundsystem track. OTOH, The Novembers sounds like a modern version of The Cure, a little moody but with more modern guitar sounds.

Meitei - “Oiran II” | Thanks to a random list of top 2020 Japanese albums, i discovered this track. I always have a soft spot for samples of early 20th century Asian sounds. This has a tad bit of that trip hop sound minus all the bass. I’m hooked.
Yu-Peng Chen, HOYO-MiX - “Another Hopeful Tomorrow + This Little Light of Mine Extended“ | So i got hooked on playing Genshin Impact. besides all the problematic RMT stuff, the soundtrack is amazing. This is one of my favorite tracks from the Liyue area, this Youtuber was nice enough to take the two short tracks and loop it to a 7m version. Combined with Breath of the Wild-like landscapes, this track is the definition of serene.
告五人 - “愛人錯過” | Its been awhile. But after listening to some 金曲奖 nominees i came across this 告五人 song. Really need to follow them more. They are catchy, a great mix of vocals and spacey guitars, and that climatic buildup... all winning characteristics in my book.
Don't Look Back (feat. Kotomi & Ryan Elder) | Well this was a nice emotional punctuation on the end of this season.
Sleeping At Last - "Love is All Around" | Never expect this song to be dont in a serious way. But if nothing, Ryan O’neal can give anything some gravity and weight.

Wei Na Hu, Shuang Ding - “Show Yourself” | Into the Unknown was never going to be the anthemic sequel to Let It Go. Show Yourself was always the song. But i guess there are spoiler elements in this song, so you can never promote the movie with it. Thus... here’s the mandarin versions, spoilerless and fun to hear all these disney songs in Chinese.
M83 - “Temple Of Sorrow” | I for one am glad for the return of M83 to their craizer artsy roots.
Bon Iver - “Faith” | This is so beautiful.
SALES - “Thurs 6-25″ | Havent posted in awhile. This song has some of my fav elements. Spacey guitars, ethereal things, repetitive cords, and jazzy feel. SALES has def grown on me in the last few days.
NÄM - Saturday Night | Mostly a electropop band. But on this track, the guitars are sooo beautiful and catchy. Somewhere around 2:11, u can loose ur soul in that guitar solo.

Yellow - Katherine Ho (Coldplay Cover) "From being called the word in a derogatory way throughout grade school, to watching movies where they called cowardly people yellow, it’s always had a negative connotation in my life. That is, until I heard your song, for the first time in my life, it described the color in the most beautiful, magical ways I had ever heard: the color of the stars, her skin, her love. It was an incredible image of attraction and aspiration that it made me rethink my own self image."
-Jon M. Chu to Coldplay
Max Richter - “On The Nature Of Daylight” | Max Richter is re-releasing his album, The Blue Notebooks. You’ve probably heard this track from Arrival. Its absolutely beautiful. Let it wash over your soul and go on a journey with Elisabeth Moss in this video.
