dr. julien built zane to protect those who can't protect themselves, and yet, the only person that he's in contact with for the first many years of his life until the day that dr. julien dies, is dr. julien's himself. and i think about that a lot.

Ever since I first saw the robot reveal in s1 as a kid I’ve wanted to know the backstory for Julian. He says Zane was to protect those can’t protect themselves. So he didn’t just build him to be a robot son. The skeletons revived him after he died to make him build stuff for them. So maybe he wanted Zane to protect him from them. Maybe he was in hiding to get away from people wanting to take advantage of his skills

omg i've thought about this for years!!! i refuse to believe that dr. julien doesn't have some sort of deeper history with the skulkin, and who else would zane be protecting anyway? i just think it's so interesting to think about..
